We have previously stayed in the nearby Circus Apartments and although the Hostel is not quite as plush it is still clean and comfy with friendly staff. We stayed on the top floor with great panoramic view of the city, the room has all facilities - kitchen (fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher, kettle), bathroom with shower (note no complimentary shampoo etc), lounge area and twin beds (which easily push together), wardrobe and small safe. Our room on the 5th floor had balconies front and back, the front balcony offers a superb panoramic view of Berlin from the TV tower to the Reichstag and beyond. One criticism of the room - it was quite hot and stuffy after being shut up all day, this was in October, don't know what it would be like in the height of summer but a few minutes with both balcony doors open cooled it down.
Breakfast is available in the adjoining cafe at 5 euros, it's small and simple but ok.
There is luggage storage downstairs (I think it was 60 cents for a couple of hours) and reception has a free safe. Lift and stair access to all floors.
There are plenty of restaurants etc in the nearby streets and the U-Bahn (Rosenthaler Platz) and a tram stop are right outside the entrance door.
All in all, fully recommended.More
