Stayed 3 nights at this hotel (hostel) on a 10th grade class trip. I was an adult chaperone.
The rooms were clean and simple, but basically all we needed. Not high quality mattresses, flat pillows and fairly thin blankets, but sufficient for our purpose and the reasonable price for the room.
The location is not very central. It was about 20min by taxi to Berlin/Alexander Platz. There was a few places to eat nearby. Can recommend the Asian restaurant down the street - delicious and inexpensive!
The lobby bar is a tiny corner. Only ordered a coffee from there. Soda, water and ice cream is for sale in reception + a coffee machine dispenser where you buy drinks using coins.
The cold breakfast buffet was decent for the price paid. Fresh food, ok variety and juices available.
The dinner served as part of or hotel package was a great disappointment and not at all recommended. Coffee was not included. Eat dinner elsewhere.
Reception staff was polite and helpful.
Restaurant staff was very rude, particularly during dinner service.
Security guard patroled the hotel halls at night. This was helpful for us chaperones trying to get a big group of 15 yr olds to bed.
