The hotel rooms were small by Berlin standards, even by NY standards. Very little space to unpack.

There was no TV in the room, just an imac and given that we had a thunderstorm one day so came in to watch a film and the internet went down, we had nothing to do as there was no internet.

You can't watch movies in the room either unless you have a German iTunes account or so it seemed to us.

The hotel is really well located but the lobby gets noisy at night and often has parties on so it's not somewhere for a quiet break.

Not bad but definitely better value in Berlin.

This hotel has a good location and it's design is cool, although not very practical: the hangers (attached to the backside of our bed) kept falling down, the Apple desktop was a bit complicated to use, we couldn't really hang your wet towels, the doors to the floors work with your e-key, which is not good when you have a few big bags with you, etc. The roof top terrace has a nice view, but I would not spend much time there. The staff was nice, although "fogot" to tell us that the bikes we were to rent cost almost twice as much as normally...

Room Tip: You should ask for a room overlooking the street, unless you'd like to have the view to an inner...

Pretty faultless really, the bar is attached to the reception so yes it's 24 hour. We arrived to a party/club night however the rooms are soundproof so it's peaceful once upstairs. Apple TV and beautifully clean rooms, we will return.

Room Tip: They are all good

had the pleasure of staying at Weinmeister on my last visit to Berlin. the location cannot be beat. the room was solid. great size, well appointed, high tech elements. service in the bar was great. one complaint is that the hotel did not have hot water for the first day i was there. but i understand that was not the hotel's fault -- but instead the utility provider. that being said, it woudl've been nice to have been offered a discount or amenity.

The hotel is situated in a very quite street but in the middle of the New Berlin life:Oranienburger str (eat at Amrit indian restaurant, drink at Bellini lounge), Alte Schonhauser str (eat at Monsieur Vuong vietnamese restaurant), Hackesche Hofe (eat at Hasir turkish restaurant). S-Bahn and U-Bahn station very clost to the hotel.Beautiful crowd during all day, nice art galleries, trendy boutiques, countless cafes and restaurants-all nearby. The bed at the hotel was great and the sleep relaxed.I didn't have breakfast at the hotel but there are many places to have breakfast under and around the S-bahn station.Walking distance to AlexanderPlatz and Museum Island. Very kind girl at the reception desk!Strongly recommended!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Weinmeister, sits in the heart of Berlin-Mitte and embodies its chic, contemporary attitude. “The Golden Cage”, as it is affectionately called due to its matte golden metal façade, is visible from every vantage point in the neighbourhood, alluringly drawing in guests and visitors alike. Conceived as the “big brother” of the well established Lux 11, also located in Mitte, The Weinmeister is aimed at business travelers from the film, music, fashion and other creative fields, as well as leisure travelers. Its core philosophy is simple: it focuses on rest, comfort, round-the-clock service and stylish rooms that highlight one piece of furniture - an oversized bed, which acts as a room within a room and suggests “cocooning.” Despite the convenience and excitement that the location affords, guests are very likely to give in to the temptation of staying in their endlessly comfortable rooms or in the luxurious hotel bar at the end of a busy day in the German capital. ... more   less
