This was recommended by the concierge at my hotel, very authentic food at reasonable price. Menu changes monthly on specials and they focus on different regions of India. Worthwhile to visit. The decor is pretty simple but food is good.

If you are looking for quality indian food and that can be made to suit your taste buds then Namaskaar is the only place you can go to in Berlin. The staff are very very cooperative and willing to adapt to your personal requirements. Excellent quality of Indian food and service and hospitality.

Am rather surprised at some of the indifferent reviews which I just glance through, before beginning this review.

We have just returned after spending 4 days in Berlin, and we ate here on 3 different occasions. It had been highly recommended by our hotel, as it was just two metro stops away from zoo metro u9. But surprisingly, we got wrong directions and had to find it by taking a U turn. The locals were not very helpful and language is A problem.

Attentive and friendly staff. The owner was from Rajasthan and a former chef himself. Food was good, prepared fresh and tasty. We ordered spinach with cottage cheese on one day, potatoes in onions (zeera wale) and peas with cottage cheese on other occasions. However, at lunch the oven was not working, so had to do with rotis prepared on gas. I found the naan better than the whole wheat bread. At dinner, we got the rotis from the oven.

Was given a complimentary sweet dish comprising of ras malai, prepared and served in a fusion style. A little pricy, but if you get quality, you really do not mind.

On the whole, highly recommended.
