This is my second Casa Campa visit and just as good as the one in Barcelona. Great location, lovely staff and an ease of a home away from home with lovely extras you don't have at home, just wish you did! Believe the reviews. Just wish there was another Casa to visit.

Just stayed in the Casa Camper for 5 days... the location in Mitte is fantastic, in the midst of the most lively area I saw in Berlin-- tons of great shops/restaurants nearby as well as walking distance to lots of sights nearby. The hotel is modern and comfortable-- not what i would call "luxurious" but more minimialist/ boutique hotel in feel. The room was spacious/well designed with the best shower we've experienced and teh bed was very comfortable.Additionally, the top floor with the 24 hr snacks (included) is a very nice amenity. The gym is a small room and not for people who really want to work out. My only real complaint was the odd and unpleasant smell in our room (room 46) which was a weird combination of sweet and sewer. I complained and it fell on deaf ears and was told by one staff member that the smell had been there since Christmas-- denied by others. Unfortunatley there was supposedly no other room to move to and zero follow up from the manager. It did make me want to gag a bit every time I walked in the room and it was dissappointing to not have some follow up from the manager. Assuming this is the only room that smells like this, I would say this was a good hotel to stay in with an excellent location.

Room Tip: avoid room 46

The first thing to say is that the reviews here are all true. CC is an exceptional hotel. For me, the outstanding features were the quality of the room and the 7th floor Tentempie experience.
The rooms have the best bathrooms I've ever seen in a hotel, and a shower that I wish I had at home. The air conditioning was simple to use, there was plenty of space for everything, the bed was most comfortable. The room was serviced to an excellent standard each day. CC is not cheap - there are plenty of good hotels that are significantly cheaper, but the 7th floor food and beverage service makes this hotel something very special and offsets the higher tariff. Being able to help oneself to quality fresh snacks and beverages 24 hours a day is sensational. The service from staff at breakfast was friendly and attentive. Mitte is a great area in which to stay and having Weinmeister Strasse U Bahn on the doorstep makes access to Berlin's many attractions easy.

I've stayed and enjoyed the casa camper hotel in barcelona too, but the one in Berlin is even better! Unlike Barcelona (where the bedroom is quite small with an extra lounge across the corridor) the bedroom is a decent size with small table and two armchairs meaning you don't have to sit on the bed all the time.
Location was good, walking distance from some cool shopping areas and only a 5-minute walk to a couple of different metro stations. Taxi from airport took no more than 30 minutes.
Wi-fi free and worked well.
As others have said one of the best features of this hotel is the room on the top floor which is open 24-hours and has hot and cold drinks and snacks.... for free! After a lot of walking around the cold streets, it was lovely to get back and help ourselves to lovely tea and coffee, plus fruit, cake, salad, sandwiches etc.. You should take this into account when comparing prices for hotels, as it certainly is worth quite a bit of money each day.
We ate in the attached restaurant (dos palillos) on New Years Eve which was a fun experience, as we had great seats opposite the chefs. It was expensive, but certainly worth it for a special night as there was a10-course tasting menu which took all evening.
I am torn as to whether to score this hotel 4 or 5 - it really deserves 4 and a half.
Only negative really was that the reception staff weren't that helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations.
Regarding Berlin itself, make sure you don't miss out on a really interesting tour of the Reichstag - you have to register to visit via their website in advance - it is definitely worth it.
