4-day break with my husband and 14 year old son. Delighted by the reception, helpfulness in recommending where to go, what to see, booked tour or Reichstag for us on arrival. We arrived early, room wasn't ready but we were given a complimentary upgrade - bath, shower, spotless, full sofa bed for son, tea & coffee facilities, free WiFi (fast). Ideal location for all the sights - in the heart of the Mitte district and very easy to get to public transport and the tourist buses. Gym/spa facilities simple and limited but more than adequate. Great view from the light, airy room. Breakfast varied, fresh & plentiful - didn't eat in the restaurant as lots to do elsewhere.
Highly recommended - I haven't written a review here before but this prompted me to do so!

Room Tip: Front of hotel for good view - Superior rooms have additional facilities

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful.
The location was excellent - very close to Museum Island and Unter den Linden. Also easy to get to underground and bus stations.
We ate in the Nicolai Viertel - about 10 minutes walk away- where there is a good range of restaurants serving huge quantities of typical German/Berlin food at good prices.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the internal courtyard and was quiet.

Excellent location just off the Unter den Linden and close to the Nikolai quarter. The rooms were spacious and clean with walk-in showers (our room also had a heat lamp in the ceiling - great when getting out of the shower). Arrived on my birthday. Receptionist picked up my birth date on check-in and 10 minutes later a knock at the door revealed the receptionist with a small cake with a candle in it, compliments of the hotel. An excellent start to a short break in Berlin.

This is probably the cleanest hotel I have every stayed in! I stayed here on business in March 2012. The hotel is close to the Gendarmeplatz . the most beautiful square in Berlin and just a short walk from a great shopping street, Freidrichestrasse, and Checkpoint Charlie. The room was bright and clean and comfortable but lacked a few details. There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, no breakfast menu for having breakfast in your room, very few English language TV channels (just new channels). The staff were very friendly and polite.

Room Tip: My room faced the main street but it was very quiet.

Love the rocking chair in the room. Without it, the room would be stark. The hotel is in a wonderful location. The staff is friendly, but seriously understaffed. We did have free internet access too, which was great. Skip the food.
