don't get me wrong -- I absolutely love love love feeling the totally authentic old world charm of a hotel in the middle of one of the most incredible medieval towns in the world...in my opinion. I stayed at Hotel Eisenhut during my last visit. Location is perfect, staff wonderfully kind, but lugging luggage up three flights of winding stairs (very tight)... eeek. At the very least, a "hand" , would have been nice. The room was extremely small and not cheep by any means! I'd pay less to stay Downtown Toronto. The breakfast was very nice. I just feel that these beautiful towns are starting to fleece tourists in a big way. A little investment now and again -- maintaining the age, yes -- wouldn't hurt. I would rather pay a bit more for Eisenhut and have a tiny elevator, a concierge and still incredible character of that time (old is good but falling apart... needs maintenance)
