If you want authentic German Food and dining experience this is the place to go. The place is intimate like a German house, the interior is plain which is what you would expect, the servers are truly German in every way and the food exemplifies Germany. The food is served quickly in big proportions, it is extremely hardy and very good. The place is extremely inexpensive for the meal that you get. We had the white asparagus soup (it's to die for), white asparagus, a side salad and the hog shoulder. It was outstanding! Call in advance for reservations because the locals love the place. The beer and wine list our very good. I had the Lindenbrau Grafenberg Light Brown Ale! Excellent.

Second visit there. Would go back anytime. We really enjoyed the historical restaurant, they serve amazing traditional Franconian food!
Staff was very friendly. It is very quiet and cosy at at stone throw from the subway station. Pretty nice breakfast, just missed famous Nuremberg sausages and croissant.
Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
Only one english TV channel (CNN), they should add BBC News.
Overall a charming typical german hotel.

The staff was fantastic and very friendly. The hotel is inside the city walls, and only 15 minutes from the main square. There is a lift which is helpful with luggage. The room was very small, and the wifi was non existent unless you went into the breakfast room. The restaurant downstairs served a very disappointing dinner. They charged 1.80 per glass of tap water and 3 euros for a basket of very stale bread. I have never paid for either one in a European restaurant. We bought 2 full dinners and beer, so I was astonished that we got charged extra for basics, especially tap water.

Room tip: The hotel is not on a main street so it's very quiet.

It was tricky getting to hotel do to road construction on the city street. About a 15 minute walk to Christmas Market. Rooms were dated and small, nice breakfast. People at registration desk ok, not overly friendly
