K - to start with - we "thought" it was nice that they had a note on the garage parking informing the members of the company that there was reserved parking on the 4th parking level. However - there is no elevator from the 4th level to the 3rd, and for the caliber of company my husband works for - I would have thought the hotel would have put us on the 1st level. But OK.

Next - we come into the room and it is soooo hot, only to discover that the temperature was set at the lowest level, but there isn't really any air. And they have Tube TV's that look like they are from 1950. OK, so we order room service, we ordered a pizza to share and two beers. They come with the pizza but no drinks. The woman ran out of the room leaving our door wide open. K....So I called for an Ironing Board and Iron, only to be told that they don't offer this - but I could go to the 6th floor to room 811 and there is an ironing room there. Go ready to sweat because it has NO air and the cord for the ironin is REALLY short and the light is motion activated, so every 1.5 mins you have to jump up and down to restart the light. The room does have a pant press but I could never get it to work. And there never seems to be any hurry to please the person staying, the answer is "This is how it is"

The Bathroom has no fan, so us women know that is not a plus, and the doors have no peep holes - at least on floor 2, however the 6th floor does have peep holes. Over all - will not stay here - but at least we aren't paying for it - just have to put up with it until we check out in two days. The only good thing was breakfast. The wiFI is really slow - and they do have a cable connection, but if you want wifi, pay 4 euros and you can get the speed that the US had about 4 yrs ago - better to go into town and do any downloads than at the hotel.

Room Tip: I had to state they have air - but it's basically a vent that just sounds like air - but there really isn't any coming into the room.

Dear guest,

thanks a lot for the very detailed review of your stay. Although the judgment is not very positive for us. But some mentioned things should be put in another light -in our opinion.
Parking: We thought it was a good service to block a whole deck in our car-park for the company. This was only possible on level 4 considering that there have been reservations on the other levels already. On the other hand there where no obstacles to park the car on another level because the car park was not full at all; especially not on Sunday when you arrived.
The A/C has a centralized control. We regret that it was not cold enough for your personal well-being. Due to the construction it is not possible to adjust the temperature in the rooms.
The TV-sets are really old. But they will be changed to a digital system next month. We will have a large variety of English-speaking channels aswell then.
We do not provide irons in the room for security reasons. But beneath the ironing-room an ironing-service is available at any time.
The free lan and wifi provides a download of 512 kb per second. Not enough for streaming videos. But fair enough to download pictures or office-files in a reasonable time. The mentioned uograde provides the highest speed offered by "Deutsche Telekom"
We apologize the invonvenience caused by the room-service and asked the waitress. In fact she forgot the beer. Please accept our apologies. She left the door open by mistake because she was in a hurry to bring the forgotten beer.
In fact there are for any reason no peep-holes in two floors. We are willing to install them soonly.

Dear guest, we understand the trouble you had with our facilities and the provided services and we can promise that we take your criticism to improve. Therefore we would like to thank you again and hope that you will change your mind and come bacj to give us a second chance.

Yours sincerely

This is an old style hotel, very traditional. It feels old but not dated and has a nostalgic charm, with the feel of a hotel from a past period.

The corridors are a bit dark, and the room furnished in a traditional style, with wood paneling for the walls and an old CRT TV with adult movie channel. Comfortable sofas, striped curtains and a wood cabinet complete the room furnishings. Big comfortable bed, and fully carpeted, big room.

Bathroom also big and spacious with a bathtub, but modern otherwise.

The hotel is directly opposite the Nuremberg city wall, so the location is excellent.

Only a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof, not really modern but functional for an overnight stay to change trains or just pay a one day visit to Nuremberg. Friendly efficient staff, rooms facing the courtyard are quiet. Well kept hotel, though not the most modern interior.

This hotel is a little way away from the main area of Nürnberg.

The room was large and comfortable, but needs a revamp. Curtains and soft furnishings need a revamp.

No flat screen TV, one of those old monsters with big back was in my room.

We arrived late and went to the restaurant, the lady reluctantly found us a table in a near empty restaurant - except for a large tour group at the rear of the restaurant. I only wished to have soup, she wasn't happy to be only serving me soup. I did order dessert and a cup of tea after, she seemed warmed by this stage.

Dear guest,

thanks a lot for the stay with us and the time you spent to write this review.
A soft refurbishment of the rooms might happen in nearer future. New TV-sets are ordered meanwhile and will be installed in August.
I was shocked to read about the service in our restaurant. We serve food until 10.30 pm and service should be friendly at any time. I am quite sure that our colleague had a bad day that day and would like to excuse ist as an exception.

Old fashioned hotel in the centre of Nuremberg. The room is cosy but really old. The bed was okayish. The hotel has small pool and gym facility (cardio mainly). The breakfast buffet is okay for one or two day stay on the third morning you will get sick of it. The most negative aspect is that since they do not offer parking they should at least offer valet parking which is not the case here.

Dear guest,

we are thankful for the review and happy that you had a good stay with us. But there must have been a big misunderstanding. In fact we provide underground parking for 170 cars with direct access from the car park to the hotel. We apologize any inconvenience caused by a probably bad communication.

Best regards
