I hadn't stayed here before and was pleasantly surprised.
The walk from the main station is the only blot, through some pretty gritty streets; Casinos, kebab shops, strip joints with bored groups of men hanging around.
No sign of aggro just edgy like you find near most big railway stations.
The hotel is a cool design and staff slick, friendly. Room was a good size, big king double, ensuite and quiet facing the inner court yard.
The hotel seems really new and everything was in perfect condition and clean.
The bar staff are very professional and look like pretty slick mixologists. I had a beer but they have all the cocktail gear and a Spanish mixologist name is on their apron. They look the part at least!
I did get hot in the room and I couldn't get the Air conditioning to come on. It'a simple temp control. It showed it as being on but nothing happened. Room 402. In the morning I was told I could have rung down and they can control it from the desk! So do that if your hot.
Breakfast was a good spread of usual hot and cold continental food.
Marienplatz is only 15 mins walk, station 5 mins.More
