We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to the Tram and to which one to take for the City Center. Great Breakfast Buffet. Very clean room and bathroom, a little on the small side but it is manageable. The fan in the room helped with the air since there is no A/C and we just so happen to be there on warm days and nights. We would stay there again on a next visit in Munich.

We travelled in December with a couple of friends and our little baby of 6 months. The rooms was a decent size, althouhg our friends had a smaller one, we got the bigger one due to needing space for the baby's travel cot. This is an oldish building and I suspect each room is slightly different. The room had in it what we needed, and yes if you want enormous rooms then keep looking. The location is pretty good, close enough to be walkable, far enough away to be quiet.
The real attraction to the place is the level of service offered that makes you feel that the establishment actually cares about your experience. Little lebuken to eat at reception, assistance with things to do, access to a microwave to sterilise the little one's bottles. The reception chap even kept an eye on the baby monitor while we went to a restaurant up the road. Now it isn't fair to demand these services just because it happened to us but reading the other reviews it appears that this level of service is sustained.

It is close to a big beer garden, but this winter we didn't venture there. Also with the vast array of market stalls around we didn't bother with the breakfast, especially as it is extra cost, did see it though and it looked good.

I would not hesitate to return

Room Tip: There are many rooms all different sizes, I would ask about what options they have, and don't le...

Stayed at Laimer Hof for 2 nights - but could easily have enjoyed more. Staff are most helpful and the breakfast very good. We visited the famous Munich Beer Garden which is a short walk away through a wonderful parklands and quiet streets. A gem!

My husband and I and two teenage daughters stayed at the Hotel Laimer Hof for two nights in June, and then rented a car and travelled to Austria. The staff were very professional, friendly, and so helpful with all the questions we asked them. They gave us recommendations for restaurants, getting around by public transportation, (we bought passes at the front desk which was very convenient) , and sightseeing in the area. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and very convenient to the Munich Airport and all forms of transportation. We would like to return someday, and stay at this wonderful hotel!

Stayed at the Laimerhof four nights from 13th May. A substantial house/small hotel in a quiet suburb of Munich with plenty of easy on road parking although it does have its own small car park. Little to add to other reviews about the staff, so helpful and nothing too much trouble, The room was in the annexe and was good, quiet, very clean but quite modest in size although this is not really a criticism. Breakfasts were good. Several restaurants very close, especially liked the Italian one.
The main reason for choosing the Laimerhof was location which is superb. Easy walk to the metro station for a short trip into the city centre and very close to trams for the same. Metro tickets can be purchased at the hotel reception. This makes for a relaxing visit to Munich as you really do not want or need to drive into the centre and the car is in a quiet, safe area without parking charges.
Part of our planned visits were Nymphenburg and Schliesshiem palaces, both superb. Nymphenburg is at the end of the street, a five minute stroll from the hotel, and Schliesshiem is easily reached by Metro.
In most big cities central hotels are expensive with no guarantee of good service, rooms or food and having a car can be a liability. The Laimerhof overcomes all these worries by having a excellent standard throughout with easy access to the centre and is very good value. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Munich and would certainly stay there again if we return to the city.
