One stereotype that abounds about Americans is that we know no other language. This is largely true, but we have found that if you try, people respond well. This is certainly not true of the waitress we met. She had no time for us and our broken German, and when the waiter told us to sit anywhere, we unfortunately sat in her section. Always stand and observe first! She made it clear she wanted to spend no time with us, and she did have a large table of businessmen in her section. It was only by standing up and preparing to leave that we received a bill, after asking twice.
The food ? Quite good, but that is not what we will remember. This is also a hotel, but it won't be on our list to revisit.More
