“Very Pleasant Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2012

We've just stayed at this very clean hotel in central Munich, 10 minutes walk from Central Stataion. We were met by a very pleasant receptionist who showed us to our room. Room was big enough, although only two of the three beds were ready. This was swiftly fixed whilst we were out for dinner. Pillows (as always in Germany) were way too soft and uncomfortable. Had to fold it several times before it became usable. This was the only complaint however. Otherwise room very comfortable. Breakfast was a typical German affair and absolutley delicious. Without the pillows this would easily be a 5 star review. Munich weather bonkers tho. Sunny Wednesday. Heavy rain Thursday, Friday. Sunny Saturday. Heavy snow Sunday.

The Jedermann is the place to go to if you want excellent customer service. On checking in we were given maps and told where the best local restaurants, tram services etc. could be found. The trams stop right in front of the hotel and day tickets can be bought from reception. Only 10 minutes walk to the main rail station. No minibar in the room but drinks can be bought from reception at a very reasonable price e.g. 1.5euros for a bottle of beer!
Good buffet breakfast and clean rooms. The decor is on the old fashioned side but adds to the charm. Definitely not the place for you if you prefer modern decor and lots of shampoo bottles in the bathroom. Shower was hot and powerful. Only one very soft pillow each but housekeeping gave us firmer, extra pillows on request so there were no problems. The room was very quiet and the free wi-fi was an added bonus. We could leave our luggage with them on departure day and collected it later.
All in all a good value hotel and a change from many of the modern, faceless places you can stay in.

Other reviewers say it all! Can't beat the price and helpful, friendly staff at Hotel Jedermann. Bus service just outside the door to zip you to the main center or train station in minutes. Clean, quiet room, excellant breakfast presented beautifully, perfect suggestions about places to eat, how to get to differant locations. Full service even selling us postage stamps and bus tickets and printing out train schedules. We were lucky there was a room available so we could check into our room early from a long flight and able to leave our bags by the front desk on the last day for a late departure. We were able to purchase beverages at reasonable prices to bring to our room. We will surely return to Hotel Jedermann on our next visit to Munich!

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Munich. It was a very good value and service was accomodating. They have a nice breakfast buffet that is included in price of the room. About 10 minute walk from the train station, however tram stop is right in front of hotel. Tram can take you to all museums (Pinakothek) and other key spots. It is a little bit of a walk to the center of town from here, but probably the best spot you can imagine if you are going to Octoberfest (very easy walk).

Stayed for 5 nights with 2 teenagers. Rooms are neat and clean but a bit spartan. Flat panel televisions, a good number of electrical outlets and plenty of hot water with good pressure. We were in room 308 (I'm assuming from the industrial design of the building that most of the rooms on the length of the hall are similar) which had a WC separate from the sink/shower which had obvious advantages and disadvantages. The beds had nice, warm fluffy duvets (almost too warm for me, as I prefer to sleep a bit on the chilly side) but the pillows were more like mini-duvets than pillows to me. I actually slept on the sofa-conversion and found it quite comfortable. The staff is uniformly friendly and helpful, I don't think you could ask for better. Convenience is fantastic - the 18 & 19 tram stop at the front door (and you can buy tickets from the front desk - check out the partner multi-day tickets for a good value.) There's a restaurant just a few doors down that serves Augustiner (best beer in Munich) and you're only 2 stops from the Hauptbahnhof on the trolley. If you're familiar with most any urban/suburban rail system using the trams, U-Bahn and S-Bahn are a piece of cake. As is the case with all of Germany smoking is tolerated pretty much everywhere, but they do have non-smoking rooms. I'll definitely consider them for future stays as appropriate.

Room Tip: Not sure that there's much difference - church bells and street noise will resonate a bit but ar...
