we had a mixed experience at our recent stay. the location is excellent; on Maximilianstrasse, the street like Rue.St. Honore, Fifth Avenue, etc. that have all the high end brand stores; if that is your thing. the lobby is a bit old and tired and could use a redo. we had some issues with our room. we checked in at 8pm and were given keys to our room to find 3 staff scurrying around when we walked in still turning the room. not very professional. it also did not smell very fresh so we asked for a new room. the good news is someone showed us to a new, nicer room. the bad news was after we had gone up and down and up again with our luggage, we were told that the nicer room, and it was nicer, was an extra 100 euros a day. this was not told to us down in the lobby before we went up for the second time. when we objected in the room we were told, well you waned a nicer room and they cost more. and our response of you should have told us in the lobby was met with, do you want to another cheaper room? we gave up and took the room and worked out a compromise eventually. other than this buzzkill we had a nice stay. the concierges were excellent, recommending and getting us into some great restaurants. our eventual room, a demi-suite was quite nice with a great bathroom

I took 2 nights there
Lets talk about the cons & prons.
Prons: bigger then the kempinski which at Geneva
They have comfortable bed, good bath room, electronic shower ( i think its not worth it i mean its the same at the end), there is a safe, an umbrella,
, night life at the lobby and the bar are nice they do music show etc
And lets start about the important Cons:
1-although u will find a coffee machine or at least a boiler with Nescafe & milk ; believe or not there is neither in this 5 star hotel !!!
2- there is no shuttle to any where
3- they will make you pay 770€ a guaranty till u chick out (no trust neither respect to client policy) and now we can announce that this number is the highest even if u compare it with Kempinski at Geneva (400CHF) even when i told the receptionist that she respond: maybe they gave you the cheapest price, will yes if i was know them and they were my best friends !!
At the end
You can find place where its way better with similar price or maybe less !!

I deeply regret that we did not meet your expectations especially regarding the additional services such as a shuttle service.

With our concierge team, we do offer limousine services at any time. However they are available upon request and are charged separately.
Our standards aim to the highest service level possible. This is the reason why we only offer limousine services with the most luxurious limousines and very knowledgeable and multi language speaking drivers upon an additional charge to our guests.

In regards to the guaranty of the room, please let me apologize for the inconvenience. The procedure is our standard and we do request a guarantee for every guest upon check-in. This gives our guest the freedom to use all the services in the hotel for their entire stay and conveniently charge any open receipts to their room. It also ensures our guest a more convenient check out experience, since all the payment details have been clarified at the check-in. Please accept our apology but we are also thankful for your understanding.

We chose this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the hotel is beautiful, staff were very friendly, our room was ready and waiting tidy, the bed was very comfortable, bathroomwas nice too, in the restaurant, we had a wonderful dinner with candles, it was romantic and wonderful

We spontaneously decided to spend the weekend at the Kempinski in Munich during the same weekend as the Global Security conference was held there. So we felt pretty "safe" ;)) The hotel has a cozy high-tea lounge in front of the lobby. Everywhere staff to help you during your arrival. quick check-in and great hotel rooms. Rooms are very modern and an excellent state of the art. The one thing I really missed is a coffee machine in the room. Nowadays all hotels offer this extra service and I really missed this.

Apart from that I deeply regret that we did not meet your expectations in regards to the room setup. We offer a coffee machine in our suits but our room service team, which is always available thru our in-room iPads or by a quick dial button on each telephone, will serve fresh coffee in all our rooms 24 hours.

We stayed for four nights , the staff is immaculate and very polite.
Breakfast is delicious, whatever you can think of they have it.
They have also a wonderful tea selection with very calming piano music in the lobby.
Food is also very delicious!
Rooms are great size, bed is comfortable and nice size .
Rooms are getting cleaned very quickly and are cleaned well.
Location is lush, perfect for shopping and avoids the big crowds.
Absolutely loving it!
Definitely will return if I will come back to Munich!
Free wifi throughout the hotel, breakfast is not included in the room rate.
