We were disappointed with this hotel.
Excellent staff in reception and cleaning staff. Car Park directly under hotel (12 Euro per day). Rooms were spotlessly clean. Easy to find with good signage on approach roads and hotel is right in city centre.
Fabric of room (202) did not meet 4 star standard. Shower curtain propped up with toilet roll to stop curtain falling. Toilet door full of chips.
Dreadful stench of sewage in car park and front of hotel. Free wifi is limited to 30 minutes in lobby. My teenage kids were up and down to reception constantly as I am too mean to pay for wifi for facebook !
No stairs so had to wait on lift all of the time.
Biggest concern however was breakfast. Service standards were awful. On first day we ate at 9.15 am. They had ran out of scrambled egg, coffee pot on table was empty and there were only two staff visible. Second day we went to breakfast at 8.15. Restaurant was over crowded. Debris was strewn across tables and we had to clear a table ourselves to get a seat. Third morning we went to breakfast at about 8am and this was better as we avoided the "Going to work at Siemens" rush. Restaurant has far too many tables for 4 being used by single travellers.
We ate in restaurant on first night. It was average. My wife's baked potato was stone cold, my daughter's pizza was slightly on the charcoaled side. My beefburger was good, and my son's pizza was good.We did go back on our final night, but that decision had more to do with watching Champions League than quality of cuisine.
The "Gym" was an absolute joke. One step machine, one running machine and one bike. The spindle of the bike is worn and doesn't turn smoothly. The weights room is one bench with tiny little weights. The total gym area is less than half the size of a bedroom. I used it twice and on both occasions the water machine was out of water (6.30 am )
The TV in the Gym, in keeping with the one in our room had intermittent sound on CNBC and the only other English language channel was RT a Russian centred English language channel. No CNN, BBC World, again not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
Had I travelled alone on business this hotel would have been fine. My standard needs on business travel are a clean room, bed and shower. Travelling with family it was poor.
