Old fashioned park with mature trees and well tended gardens. Often open air free music concerts in summer. Interesting collection of model historical houses and buildings from old Garmisch.

We found this little gem almost by accident. There is an entrance just off Richard Strauss Platz. It was a rainy day so we just walked around and enjoyed the wonderful display of flowers ( still at the beginning of October). There are several quirky and interesting sculptures. Worth visiting just to see them

We sat in a comfortable concert hall with great acoustics for a performance of the Garmisch orchestra. Everything from classical to Frank Sinatra. Men wore traditional German lederhosen and women dirndel dresses. Wine and beer available during free concert. A very nice outdoor stage for summer performances. If you want a taste of local culture this is a great opportunity

In the middle of the city (just next to the tourist information) - there is an oasis where strolling is welcomed and the smell of flowers fill the air. Various characters (like Cassiopeia the turtle) from Ende's books can be seen throughout the park. It is a place for relaxation and culture.

We strolled through many times from the car park en route to the main street. Beautiful flowers & the odd sculpture along the way including a tortoise for the children to run over. Also an impressive clock face flower display with actual working clock in the middle! 2 nights we wandered through there were concerts going on, on the 1 night there was a Bavarian music band which was free to watch which was nice.
