This is a traditional, charming Alpine lodge-esque hotel, which is older in style but doesn't feel tired.
Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large, clean en suite bathroom and powerful shower. The large windows and door open onto a wooden balcony with seating, where you're surrounded by the Alpine weather, sunrise and birdsong and the incredible view of the Alps; this is what a stay at Hotel Alpina is all about!
The reception and bar staff are friendly and helpful and the lobby bar is a cosy area with tv and reasonably priced drinks!
For a small fee, we parked in the underground car park, which is equipped with "car service" facilities (sponge, water bucket, squeegee etc!) - a thoughtful and practical feature (considering we were on a roadtrip!)
My only negative comments would be:
1) The wifi was patchy (although this can be forgiven when you look at the scenery!)
2) The hotel boasts of a breakfast buffet with a choice of at least 50 items - but there were no pastries! Surely a key component in any hotel breakfast?! Although you can have breakfast meatballs...!
3) The breakfast hot beverages are self-serve from a machine and a queue did build. Being served coffee/tea at your table would be a nicer start to the day!More
