Very good relaxing atmosphere in this charming hotel. Great hotel site where you can enjoy very nice views on the surrounding mountains. Excellent restaurant with very good organic cuisine.

Two areas for improvements though:
- 25 euros / day for a dog : I have never paid so much in the world even in 5 * hotels!
- no air conditioning in new aisle : what a pity during a very warm August 2018 (and is it really in line with 4*S ?)

The hotel is situated in a quiet area and 8 - 12 minutes walk to the town centre. There is a path next to the stream just outside of the hotel so you can take your dog for a walk, if you have one. There is 2 big supermarkets within 2 minutes walk. The location is excellent.

We stay there for 7 nights and everyday we have the same breakfast. It starts getting boring after the 3rd night! The restaurant staff are very friendly. There are outside seatings and you can see the beautiful mountain view. The pool is fine and have a nice mountain view as well. The bed is quite hard.

The bar is nice and cosy.

The housekeeping is a disgrace. The mirror, bathtub and glasses are not even cleaned most of the stay.

Room Tip: Choose the room facing the mountain, the higher the better view

What a surprise! We booked this hotel off the internet as the one I had stayed at before was sold out. Thank goodness because our room and stay was great. We did upgrade to a 2 room as the 1 room was not air conditioned. It was newly renovated and beautiful. We had a huge balcony with table and chairs with a view of the mountains and the ski jump Above Olympic stadium. The breakfast buffet was great. The walk into Garmisch was a short walk. We rented e-bikes 2 afternoons and ride everywhere..there are paved paths at the base of the mountains along the train treacle, we rode thru towns and amazing neighborhoods and saw thins we never would have seen otherwise. The staff was great. The hotel even had a pool table and fooseball for the kids. There is a huge courtyard with cabanas and oversized bean bags to leisurely lay in the sun. The pool opened up toward the courtyard. We even stayed a 3rd night and cancelled our trip to Rothenburg because we were spellbound.

Growing up in America, Best Westerns are usually thought to be low budget, decent hotels, but that was definitely not the case. It was GREAT. We upgraded to a 2 room suite, recently remodeled that provided a mountain view of the ski jump from the 1936 olympics with a large balcony. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of high quality food, they offer an e- bike rental service with good pricing per day, bean bags in the courtyard to relax after a long day of adventure, and a fantastic gym and spa area.

We were traveling with my parents after a conference in Prague. To make sure my parents were comfortable in the trip, we tried to book all hotel rooms with air conditioning. When we called to this hotel to make the reservation, we were told that only suites have air conditioning. Therefore, we booked suites for this stay.

We enjoyed the stay very much. From checking in to checking out, the service was superb! The hotel staff was friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and my parents enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice very much.

My husband and I took time to walk by the nearby river and enjoyed the fresh air and tranquility there.

Though our room is in a different building, we can either walk across the lawn to the main building or took the underground path. It was a very short walk. We liked the decoration in the underground path.

The room is comfortable. We of course like the living room and the mini bar. We also liked to stay in the balcony to appreciate the surrounding mountains.

Overall, it is a really wonderful stay. I hope we will be back again.
