We chose this hotel as it was listed on booking.com for 70$/night, then something wrong with the checkin. it turned out to be 94€/night for us two. (It's the fault of booking.com.)

Location:
It is east of town, near the train station.
Three streets near the hotel were blocked - under construction (July-Aug 2017), it was quite hard to get there even though we used Navigation GPS.

●lack of communication:
Before arrival, we sent the hostess one email, she failed to mention the road blocks around the hotel which took us over 40 minutes to figure out how to reach the hotel by car.

Room:
1 Small room with thin walls;
2 A patio with nice mountain views;
3 No heating, no aircon;
4 we did borrow a small hair dryer AND USED IT for heat.
5 old wooden floor, squeaky once anyone walks on it and we could hear the noise too when others passed by;
6 thin curtains...sun woke us at 0520...maybe some people like this. We did not.

Wifi:
Included, worked fine.

Breakfast:
buffet breakfast with good coffee and croissants.

Parking:
Included.

Location: we ate nearby both nights. 1 greek, 1 vietnam. Good beer in the railway station square.

A friend who lives in Garmisch recommended this hotel. It is centrally located and the rooms were nice (our room had an ensuite bathroom, but I don't know if all the rooms do). We had a nice outdoor patio attached to our room with great views of the mountains. Breakfast buffet is typical of budget hotels in Germany.
