We tried to eat at Zum Wildschuetz a couple of nights previously, but were unable to get a table as it was so busy. Rather than moaning about this and leaving an unjustified poor review, we took the common sense approach of booking a table for this evening. On arrival, there was a minor hiccup insofar as our table was inside when we had asked for one outside, however this was quickly rectified. The service was polite and attentive, and the food, which arrived surprisingly quickly, showed why the place is so busy. Whilst maintaining its rustic Bavarian appeal, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation were a step beyond all other restaurants we have visited in the area. Whilst one might justifiably expect to pay a premium for this, it was not the case, with prices fairly similar to other local venues. We will definitely be reserving a table in advance for our first evening on our next visit to Garmisch.
