We enjoyed our stay in the mountains and this wonderful retreat. The owners of this establishment went out of thier way to help make our stay enjoyable with restaurant suggestions, sightseeing tips, ordering fresh baked bread every morning, etc. The location is absolutely breathtaking. Everything was clean in the rooms and there was a delightful balcony overlooking the Alps to sit out and rest on. You can walk down the mountain using a scenic trail which leads directly to the pedestrian district of the town. There are enough level walking areas between switchbacks to make the climb back up the mountain manageble. There are many attractions in the area and Salzburg is just across the border so there is a lot to do. But be sure to reserve some time to just sit back on the terrace and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds of the Alps. Just to make you aware, the drive up to the place can be a little intimidating. We had a large van and it was mainly single lane roads. Once we got there it is well worth it. After driving it a couple of times it really wasn't that bad but the first time driving there was a bit surprising.
