Good rooms, nice parking garage and very good breakfast. It is really close to the city center and some of the better restaurants, easy to walk there. Only points for improvement are that not all rooms have airconditioning and that the pillows are too soft for my liking.
I travel a lot for work, this is my favorite hotel in Bayreuth

Stayed here with friends for the film festival it was great.
Staff are very helpful.
Breakfast gets a thumbs up had sparkling wine with breakfast.
In lobby there was always something to drink and a snack.
The sauna it just fantastic and there is an area you can lounge about too.
Gym well equipped.
There is an ironing room.
Rooms a little dated bathroom fine. Complementary water, good.
I would stay here again because it is near to the centre of town and the train station.
It does take about two hours to get to on public transports from Nuremberg airport but it is so calm it is worth it.

This hotel is a hotel where you can sleep well due to the good beds and room. Rooms are renovated but the rest is a little outdated. Breakfast is very good. Dont expect a very flashy place but good price/quality.

This hotel is at walking distance from the city center and main sites. Everything works well from the effective check-in until the payment. The room was quite standard, but clean and functional. In the bathroom there was a bath tub. The breakfast buffet was rich and you had everything you needed. Parking is easy their garage for 7 euros/night. Even if this hotel has no charm, I can recommend it for its functionality and friendly service.

In some ways the Rheingold reminded me of a Premier Inn hotel in the U.K. it had similar good points: a nice comfy bed, a good shower and a nice breakfast.

The location is good too - near the town centre, but on a small street so even with a room overlooking the front there was no traffic noise.

There was very little space to hang your clothes (6 hangers) and the luggage shelf was below them, so the space was not full height so if you had any long outfits they would not fit (i used a hook in the bathroom). Also the curtains did not have blackout lining, so once the sun was up it was bright enough to read, which could wake light sleepers up.

If you are going to the Wagner festival, there is a bus laid on, plus a drink beforehand, which is a nice option for a modest charge. (Cost for the room is much higher during the festival, than otherwise but that is Bayreuth) It is also possible to walk there in about 20 minutes though too.
