This is an excellent business hotel - cool, new, clean, bright, efficient - and a perfectly good choice during the Bayreuth Festival unless you want something more in keeping with Wagner's late Romantic style. It's a contrast rather than something in keeping with the Wagner experience.
It's situated just outside the pleasantly quiet centre of the town, within walking distance, but not part of the town itself.
It's also expensive, but probably no more so that any other hotel in the town during the festival weeks. Perhaps double what you'd pay for a good business hotel in other circumstances.
But I don't mean to complain. I would stay at the H4 again. Especially this summer, during the heatwave that's hit Europe, it was a boon to have a cool refuge to retreat to.
