On an orientation tour of Stuttgart with 30 minutes for lunch, a group of five thought Kai Mug would be a quick and tasty option. We were mistaken.
First, as amazing as it may seem, the restaurant was out of rice during prime lunch hours. We were given the option of noodles, which we acepted.
Second, there was a surprising delay in receiving our food. Even more annoying, the last order placed was the first order ready.
Third, the noodles (which replaced rice) were plain, unseasoned, and in a sticky glob. It was impossible to mix the vegetables or sauce with the noodles.
The entree itself, green curry with chicken breast, was arguably the most flavorless Thai food ever. The chicken was in chunks, rather than thin slices, which limited flavor from the sauce.
Lastly, even an order for water was awry. One diner asked for bottled water, and received sparkling "bio" water in a glass bottle when she wanted still water in a conventional plastic bottle.
The only positive that can be said for Kai Mug was one order of tasty sea food soup... and that we did manage to get in and out within the allotted 30 minutes. It's doubtful that any of us will be back.
