Back at this hotel for the third time. Reception was a bit chaotic with an asylum seeker hazzling the receptionist, he was at the wrong hotel but would not understand - no fault of the receptionist but almost leading to alceration between the asy and myself. Maybe reception should always have two persons there to protect staff exposed to aggressive people.

Anyway, the hotel was as neat as ever, BUT this time I got a room on the top (fourth) floor. This room is spread over two levels, the lower one being the bath and a small sitting room, the top floor (under the roof) only housing the bed. The stairs between the two levels are suicidal - incredibly narrow and steep, like single steps (not full stairs) leading up or down. Now if you need to go to the bath in the middle of the night, chances are you may break your neck. So if you are offered a room starting with a 4, insist that the room be changed.

Otherwise, all was well, breakfast was ok at the price.

We arrived a day earlier than anticipated and the lady on reception was most helpful and managed to make a room available to us. The rooms are unusual. My partner and I are seasoned travellers and never had a hotel room where the sleeping area has been on an upper mezzanine floor with access by exceptionally steep chicken coup steps. Not recommended for the faint-hearted.

The room and facilities were very clean but sparse. Absolutely no additional niceties. The sofa (sofabed) was one of the most uncomfortable sofas we have ever sat on and the bed was pretty small.

The underground parking arrangements are fine and will accommodate most vehicle sizes. It is difficult to find a parking space in Karlsruhe city centre and for €7 a day I would recommend taking up the offer.

All in all if you need to be near the city centre and on a budget (and fairly agile, with no fear of heights) then the Acora is adaquate.

Room Tip: The location of the hotel is quiet. I cannot imagine any of the rooms being particularly noisy (maybe avoid the ground floor)

I really like this hotel and have stayed there many times for at least 25 years. It is clean and the staff is friendly. Nice breakfast. Many restaurants in the neighborhood. Keep in mind, these smaller hotels are not air conditioned. Even lowering the shades early in the morning did not keep the room cool. The bathroom is very small and there are no grab bars to assist when stepping in or out of the shower. An update of the property might be a good thing. The free wi-fi is very slow and one will wind up paying for the high-speed wi-fi.

Literally it is home, apartment that people live in, not like hotel. so its like you rent from someone to stay in their room.

We stay in another building, first floor, the parking is complicated because we are assigned parking on the back of the building somehow when we got there, the spaces is occupied and then we move to the main building garage, so we have to walk quite a bit to our Studio Apartment.

The room is big, it has an additional room for clothing and your bag, because there is no door on the kitchen so you can keep your clothes from the smell of the cooking. it has balcony which is really nice and we can cook and live there.

WIFI free only modem speed, so no go, but for me it has a telekom or some chain wifi, i got boingo account that i can connect, so its free and good for me.

we had a good time and good sleep quality and everything is great.

The hotel is well located, close to Karlsruhe downtown. They have a parking for your car. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quite. Wi-Fi is working well and freely in your bedroom. From this hotel, you can easilly visit the city. The breakfast is correct.

Room Tip: The hotel is closed to the centre of the city
