The hotel is average at best and I feel once we go to Baden-Baden realised there were many better places to stay.
The best thing about the hotel was the massive room size and its balcony.
But there were many problems - the water temperature in the showers was not consistent, there no acs so the rooms are very hot, etc
During our stay there was also construction nearby so it was extremely.

I am still gobsmacked at how awful our experience was.

It is a modernised traditional style German hotel and our room was fairly modern complete with a fridge with water & beer, and a small balcony looking over the garden. After a very long drive it was natural to want a cup of tea or coffee when we arrived. However we were horrified to find that the restaurant and bar closed at 14.00 and would remain closed until breakfast at 7.00 the following morning! Can you believe it?! The bedroom didn’t even have a kettle so imagine arriving at an expensive hotel and not been able to have a cup of tea or a glass of wine for 17 hours!

My husband complained at reception where the lady was very embarrassed and apologetic but said they were having staff problems and had been closed every day from 14.00 all weekend. Their website states that their restaurant is open daily but despite being I am a wheelchair user but they didn’t bother to email me and warn me of this major reduction in services.

Our experience of the services at the Hotel Magnetberg was worse than a budget hotel. Be warned!

Stayed here for two nights with a group. Nice room with balcony and good view. Meals were also good.
A couple of disappointing issues:-
1. Wi-Fi was intermittent at best. Really frustrating when you’re trying to take care of business at home. All our group complained of the Internet signal just dropping out.
2. We were all having beers on the terrace in 30 deg heat and asked if we could have some water. We were asked if we wanted sparkling or still water (€9 each) and we replied neither. Some tap water would be fine. The Barman replied “We don’t serve tap water because it’s warm”.
Patronising? YES, but NOT customer service.

We stayed for 4 nights and we enjoyed the view from the balcony, as it was amazing and breathtaking.
Breakfast was good with limited varieties.
City center and the spa house was not far walking, about 10 minutes.
Room size was good and staff were very helpful.
Parking is available on site
I love to come back again

The hotel is on a steep hillside, with nice view. It looks like an old building, but at closer look you find out that it is built of cheap materials, with very little architectural care, some 30-40 years ago.
Staff is friendly and slightly old-fadhioned. The room is ok, some furniture is ready for replacement.
