Nice hotel, clean rooms and property. Scenically situated and quiet. Biggest drawback would be the very steep hill that you must climb to get to the hotel when walking from the city center. This was our first stay of our month-long trip and they were very accommodating in shipping a small package for us (at a cost of 25 euro to Italy) to our final destination because we did not want to carry those things around for a month.
Our room had a balcony, which was nice, and we thought reasonable. We paid 274 euro total for 2 nights. Buffet breakfast is available but an additional 15 euro/each, and we did not think it worth the price, both quality and selection. The bathroom was small and utilitarian, but certainly not the smallest we have encountered, just not spacious if that's what you need/are looking for.
Parking is an additional fee. Quiet place. Outdoor patio/veranda.

Room tip: #221 has a balcony

Very nice hotel with well appointed room. We had a lovely view over the valley and town. The bar and restaurant was closed to us due to a function which was a shame but meant we had a good opportunity to explore the lovely town centre and great places to eat. Good security for our motorcycles which was appreciated. Breakfast was in buffet form but had a great selection and loads of it.

We decided to try this hotel because we're on our way to Munich for the opera and Baden Baden is a lovely stop over. We have stayed in hotels here before on 2 occasions : once at the famous Brenner's-- very very good indeed and then once at the somewhat weird Belle Époque-- never again for that one! Baden Baden is a great old spa town with excellent walking, shopping, eating and the cultural offerings are as good as any found in a big city. The Magnetburg hotel has so much to recommend it: very reasonable price for our spacious, quiet, comfortable, extremely clean rooms with contemporary furnishings and even had a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking a garden area. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was both delicious and attractively served (and frankly better than our dinner was when we stayed at Brenner's). You're not in the middle of town so some might consider that a downside but it's just a short 5 minute or so walk in and you get a flavour of the local ambiance that's quite pleasant. Easy parking is located in garden just behind the hotel. Our two dogs were welcome so that was also an essential element in our decision to stay here. Sorry no time to stay a couple more days.

We stayed over the weekend and we booked a classic room for a very decent price. As the hotel was almost empty we got one of the nice new room with a balcony. The room is extremely clean and comfortable. It is certainly not the most luxurious option in Baden Baden but it definitely does a great job for a short stay. It is a bit outside of the center (up the hill) and it might be a bit difficult to reach for people with walking difficulties without the car (it is on a rather steep hill).

Room tip: Ask for a room with balcony

Stayed two nights on business in room 206. This hotel is up the hill from the city, and that hill is steep. However, the view is so worth it.

The staff were very helpful. They are gone overnight, but they were always clear about that. A message was left for me by a local friend and they were kind enough to make sure I got it both via phone and when I walked downstairs.

Room 206 has a lovely little balcony overlooking the valley and the city. It was ridiculously warm for December, so I sat and read while enjoying the view.

The bar has great service. Didn't eat there, but had coffee and drinks on a couple of occasions.

Took bus 205 from the main train station. It's about a 30 minute ride. Let the bus driver know you are going to the hotel and they will make sure you get off at the closest stop. Several reviews state that you should get off at Caracalla Therme, DON"T. That's at the bottom of the hill. There's a stop much closer.

Had a very early train on Sunday morning and a cab was arranged. At 6 am, it's less than 10 minutes by cab back to the station. During the day it could be 15-20 minutes with traffic, I'm told. One way cost was 24 euros.

Room tip: Room 206 has a lovely balcony. Not all rooms do, but ask.
