We arrived for a two night stay and were immediately taken care of by the exceptional staff at Brenners Park. Our rental car was emptied of luggage and whisked away while Nick at the front desk checked us in and provided a quick tour of the hotel facilities and showed us around our beautiful suite. We enjoyed our meal at the Winter Garten restaurant and relaxed afterwards following a short stroll along the river embankment to the Baden Casino (left poorer). Every member of the Brenners' staff (front line and all the support staff) was looking for a friendly way to help with anything we needed. Clearly management has encouraged and empowered all employees with a customer focus and it is evident in everything they do. We look forward to coming back.

Brenners consists of two distinct main properties, the classically decorated main hotel building and Villa Stephanie comprising a small number of contemporary rooms and suites located in a separate (joined by internal corridors) building which also houses the spa and a number of treatment rooms. Effectively, Villa Stephanie is a separate hotel and it was here that we had booked to stay.

There is a separate above ground parking area for Villa Stephanie. The lobby area and lounge area have a very calm atmosphere reflecting that of the spa space with which they are shared with guests having a treatment there. We were very generously upgraded to a suite which had wonderful views over the hotels grounds and beyond to the park and river that flows through the picturesque town of Baden-Baden. The suite itself had a living room which among other audio visual elements hosted a turntable complete with a collection of heavy vinyl (180 gm) LPs from a variety of genres; I have never stayed anywhere else that has provided this! There was also a room housing a couple of pieces of high quality gym equipment and a small sauna and steam room and of course there was a large bedroom and bathroom. This is a very well planned suite as one could use all of the space effectively.

Breakfast is served in the main hotel building and comprises a very extensive buffet with an area where one can order egg dishes, pancakes and waffles to be cooked a la minute. There is a broad range of both regional and international dishes and the service is very efficient. They even provide a miniature sand timer with the tea pot!

Dinner in the 2* restaurant was impressive and showcased the output of a talented chef. The decor of the space itself whilst comfortable - very large tables with lots of space between them - felt a bit heavy. If you want high quality French food then you simply must dine here.

The bar was probably the worst area in terms of service. We ended up seating ourselves and it took around a quarter of an hour for someone to present a menu and they failed to spot the crumbs from the table's previous guests so we had to ask for it to be cleaned. The cocktails (regardless of some of them having been entered into a competition according to the menu) were rather old fashioned both in concept and preparation; they would certainly not compare favourably to say the best bars in NYC. Overall the bar was a big disappointment as the service was extremely inattentive throughout the hour or so we spent there. We made our dissatisfaction very apparent to the waiter yet he did not even apologise.

The staff in Villa Stephanie were all very kind and attentive and they have really achieved more of a retreat zen like atmosphere here. If I was in the area again I would definitely return to Villa Stephanie which offers the best of both worlds, contemporary rooms with beautiful aspects over Baden-Baden and the facilities of the classic grand hotel that is Brenners.

Room Tip: Stay in Villa Stephanie for a much more contemporary experience

Dear valued guest,

Please allow me to truly thank you for rating us on TripAdvisor and for taking your time to send us your feedback.
I was more than glad to read how satisfied you were with our Villa Stéphanie and your time there.

I would also like to take the opportunity to express my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused through the lacking service during your visit in our bar. I deeply regret you had to experience a disappointing evening and that we did not meet your expectations in that respect. We want our service to be attentive and proactive at any time.
I truly understand that the impression we have given you in bar should not be the standard in luxury hotel like ours.

Rest assured that the opinion of our guests is of special importance to us and we willingly use it in order to review and improve our service quality.

Please let me highlight how much we appreciate your valued feedback and truly thank you for your openness.
It would be my personal pleasure to welcome you back at Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in the near future

Kindest regards,
Frank Marrenbach, Managing Director

I am thrilled with the quality of service I received during my stay. I believe the credit goes to the staff, all the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful, they overwhelmed us with kindness; truly as if you were an honorable guest in their house .. brilliant.
The place is wonderful, its classical and all the details are taken care of. The room was spacious, the bathroom was huge, and the view was spectacular.
The concierge helped us arrange a trip around the b500 road, his suggestions were lovely.
Amazing breakfast.
Your dinner plans should include the restaurant of the hotel, even if you're not staying there, it's just what you need to have a special memory of the city. Its a true fine dinning place.
Thank you for this great experience.

We had a wonder full time and dood at the open air cafe of Brenner Park Hotel at Baden Baden. The weather was lovely and the place was very well kept. To top it all up, the service was at the state of the art. After having your main meal, the ice cream Stephanie is a must. It comes in a metal dish and the composite is amazing. End it all up with a double shot of espresso and then your good to go for another few hours of wondering in the nice garden that is rite next to the hotel.
