This place looks like it would be amazing in Winter but was equally as good in Summer.

Really efficient service despite being packed and food was quick to arrive. Their specialities are casseroles but it felt too hot for one which in retrospect might have been a mistake. Table next door had the beef casserole and it looked amazing. I went for a seasonal salad which was tasty and had a melted cheese followed by a Liegeois ice cream. Kids had a chocolate fondue for pudding which seemed to go down well.

Wasn’t cheap but frankly nothing in Val d’isere is so still felt like value for money.

In summertime many restaurants in Val d'Isere are closed, but there are enough open to give a good choice. La Casserole was the best, good variety in the menu and good atmosphere. Well frequented by the locals.

Fun and friendly restaurant where you just have to relax and settle in for a big feed. Warning: the raclette is not for the faint hearted. Endless avalanches of molten cheese cascading down charcuterie covered mountains of potato. Keep up up or the consequences are frightening. Regular quaffing from the small but superb wine selection is highly recommended.

6 of us visited La Casserole for dinner on New Years Eve and have also visited many times over the years. The restaurant is a fantastic setting to sample authentic alpine food, with roaring log fires and hearty portions. Staff are always very attentive and sociable.

Awesome place to eat, relax, and unwind.

I first visited Swiss House La Casserole February 2015 and met its' very charismatic proprietor, Hugo "The Boss" Inhaber. Now, I make it a habit to eat here every time I’m in Nha Trang, Vietnam. I’ve always enjoyed every meal I've had. The food is consistently fresh, tasty, and served with care and friendliness.

Staff are attentive, courteous, and always wear a genuine smile. Right from when you walk in to when you leave you are made to feel welcome and valued.

The menu remains extensive and includes, just to name a few, everything from Carpaccio de Thon - thin sliced tuna Vietnamese style, Salade Tomates and Mozzarela (personal favorite of mine), Rahmschnitzel Nudeln- escalope with creme mushroom onion sauce and noodles (another favorite), Cordon Bleu mit Pommes Frites, Poisson Frit au Gingembre, and a variety of tasty and sumptuous sausages, pastas, sandwiches and snacks to name a many few, with the star attraction being the fondue, which was outstanding.

Food was always served hot, in ample portions, and consistently tasty and flavorsome. Prices were very reasonable with great food quality.. Beer and liquor prices are also extremely reasonable..

I really enjoyed the awesome atmosphere of the place. Whether you come alone or with friends it’s easy to start a conversation with the people next to you, or if you prefer, you can remain to yourself. I was fortunate to meet many very interesting, intriguing, funny, and wonderful people from all walks of life and nationalities whatever night I visited.

Thank you Hugo, until I see you again again (soon)!!
