We stayed here over the Christmas week wanting a home from home environment. Jenny did not disappoint, she is a wonderful host, nothing is too much trouble and she is extremely knowledgeable of the area.

Jenny even put me in touch with a great, very experienced instructor so I could polish up on my skiing.

The chalet itself is warm, inviting and clean. We had the chalet to ourselves and really felt at home. Jenny and her staff are not intrusive and at all times helpful. The added bonus of the hot tub outside was great, especially on the tired ski legs!

A four course dinner was served after a drink of the day and canapes. She is a wonderful cook and I came home a bit heavier !

The location is great also, the ski bus stop is right outside the chalet, and after a 500yd walk you can ski to the lifts. You can also ski back through the trees, I only attempted it once, but it is manageable.

If we ever return to Val we would definitely return !

Had an amazing week at Chalet Genevieve in Val d'Isere with 2 other families (group of 11 of us) last week.... Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and received great service all week. Food of very high quality (aperitifs/nibbles at 7pm prior to 3 course meal plus cheese board and coffee). Chalet spotless and well cared for, with the use of privet hot tub on terrace - very noun appreciated by kids and grown ups alike after tough days on slopes (helped by a beer or two from the honesty bar!!) ...

We managed to ski back to the door from day 2 onwards with Some directions assistance from Jenny - and had a laugh in the off piste in doing so!! (100 meters or so); in the mornings it was 2 minute walk downhill along the road to get into the slopes so very nearly ski in ski out..

Highly recommend the chalet - we had a great week courtesy of Jenny and Sarah - sure we'll be back at some stage soon!

This is our third stay at the Chalet - 7 guys, but Jenny can accommodate many types of skier/non skier. The Chalet is in top condition, great location ( 5 mins bus journey to the centre/main lifts, but you can ski out within 2 mins walk). Food and wine is amazing as is the level of personal care and service provided by Jenny. It is rare to have an owner on site, and the level of personal attention is definitely noticeable at here. Just don't ever ask Jenny for a discount...
BTW don't eat a big lunch - the evening meal is worth keeping plenty of room for!

Jenny was so accommodating to our mixed party of singles and couples. The chalet is beautiful, brilliant location right next to the bus stop and allegedly ski in/out. We had a few adventures trying to ski in, with much hillarity, but not much success. The bus was so convenient from the rond pointe, we really neadn't have bothered! Fabulous food, and service from Jenny and Ellie. Great hot tub on the terrace. Tons of hot water, very comfortable beds, cosy lounge with log fire, clearly the best chalet holiday we have had. Thank you Jenny, we'll be back!

Room Tip: First floor for tall people, second floor for kids/ midgets, and those who don't mind wearing a...

We stayed here with friends in January and had the best week. Great chalet, lovely and warm, log fire, hot tub, excellent food and wine, beautiful rooms. We were made to feel at home by the owner, Jenny, ably assisted by the ever smiling Ellie. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, just above the town, so peaceful nights, and a short ski down to the lifts. We skied hard, apres'd in town, returned on the free shuttle bus, hot tub before dinner and then "flumped" in front of the log fire for a relaxing evening with more wine. Perfect.
Drinks from an honesty bar at very low prices and an iPod dock made staying in a no-brainer anyway.
If we return to Val d'Isere, we will definitely stay here.
Thanks for such a wonderful week Jenny.
