Stayed in this chalet for the first time. In a nutshell: service is good, staff are friendly, smiley. The chalet caters only for the British tourists. The food was better than I expected and was plentiful, however, not much variety and is quite simple. Played loud music at the bar one night so we struggled to sleep as our room was right above the bar/restaurant area and we heard how they moved the furniture in the restaurant most of the time. Ask for rooms on higher floors if you can. On the day the people where leaving, the staff started cleaning the rooms at 2am! I did not appreciate it at all. Basically, they wanted to prepare everything for the new guests but we were still there and no one seemed to be concerned about it. The lounge area with dated brown sofas was not pretty nor cosy in my opinion. Location was great, very central, close to the lifts and pretty much in the village centre. Overall, an OK place, not bad at all, quite basic with clean rooms and good service, interesting experience but did not leave a profound positive impact on me for some reason so i will probably choose to stay some place else next time I come to Courchevel 1850 even if it costs me more money than this budget chalet.

Seriously disappointed with the state of the Hotel , both main areas and the rooms
If it was not for the hard working young Team , who is obviously just left to deal with all the problems in the building by Ski Total , it would have been unbearable
Yes the food quality is really good and yes there is free wine on offer during the meal ( but any unfinished wines are collected and taken away by the time the cheese board comes to the table ??? you are not allowed to finish the opened bottle ?? ) however it is not enough alone to make up for the state of the disrepair this whole building is in
Ski & Boot Room : impossible to negotiate , let alone have somewhere to sit down and get your boots on or off
Thread bare towels , ironing burn stained sheets , broken chairs in the dining room , wall panellings coming off , broken hangers in the cupboard
Tiny room , not a tripple for sure , tiny tiny shower room ...
Unless something is done about it urgently , it is not a place to stay

Thank you for your review nevsibahar. It's such a shame that you feel that the upkeep of the Chalet Hotel is rather letting down an otherwise excellent and enjoyable stay, where our great team look after our guests well. We've featured the property for a number of years and its owners are particularly attentive, so we'll ensure that your feedback is passed on to them and our maintenance teams accordingly. Best wishes, the Ski Total team

Have returned to this hotel four times. Incredible value for Courchevel 1850. OK hotel is a little jaded but this is a ski holiday! We have never faulted the staff or management who are always welcoming, warm and helpful. Organisation is first class. Great breakfast, lovely selection and plentiful freshly prepared food for tea. Dinner is equally delicious and varied. Rooms on the front have a bslcony ans fantastic views. A short downhill stroll to main lift area and can ski back to within less than 100 metres of hotel. Ski hire very close ..... what more could one want. Booked again for next year 2017. Joyce and Robert

Room Tip: choose room on front ..... can be noisy but great view.

Hotel definitely could do with an upgrade. Rooms are small and very tired. Towels are paper thin and no toiletries. This year's staff were great but Ski Total need to get the place re-vamped for the next season.

Room Tip: Front rooms very noisey

It's great to hear that you enjoyed the tremendous location of the Chalet Hotel Coq de Bruyere, KHA1, which is truly enviable in this fabulous resort. Whilst we don't provide toiletries, it's disappointing to note your comments regarding the towels and your room being 'tired' - things we'll be taking a look at over the summer months. We hope that next year's staff will be able to welcome you with the same great service you enjoyed with us this year.

Bad points First.
Small rooms that need some Maintenenace. Shelves were loose. Doors were loose, Shutters didn't work and broken Toilet Seat BUT.!!!

Good points. Great warm staff, thank you. Superb Food and Afternoon teas was a treat. Canopies, were wonderful, soup was warming and a surprise. Evening meals and Wines superb.

Guests.Thank you all that were there this week. We had a fantastic week.
Good location. Tiny boot room but the good points far outlay the bad ones.

The bad points are easy fixes so come on Ski Total do your stuff.

Room Tip: All rooms seam small but some have a bath and a shower. ASK!

Thank you, paultriple, for your review of your experience with Ski Total in the Chalet Hotel Coq de Bruyere. It's great to hear that you were well looked after by our team there, who provided some enjoyable meals accompanied by our warm service.

We're grateful for your having flagged up the maintenance issues in your room, and hope that you did draw these to the attention of the resort team during your stay, too. We have a dedicated maintenance team who work closely with our property owners throughout the season, and during the quieter summer months, to ensure that issues such as these are addressed.

We hope that we'll be giving you a warm welcome back with Ski Total next winter.
