I have just come back from a week at this hotel with 5 other friends, the location for skiing is brilliant even though there is a lack of snow in Europe you have a 50 metre walk to get to the main slope and a shorter walk to a red run behind the hotel. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. There is about 50 people in this chalet. The food was a very high standard and breakfast and high tea are all very good.

The rooms although small have excellent showers. There is a night club opposite which can kick out late but in each room there are electric storm blinds which will cut out some sound and early morning sun.

Bar prices are reasonable and cheaper than other bars in the area 4 euros for a pint in happy hour 5 in non happy hour times, if you want a lively bar the jump bar is a short walk excellent apres ski where a pint is 6 euros. For your night that is not catered I can highly recommend the Cafe De La Poste where a 3 course meal with wine and drinks cost us 60 euros each.

When skiing this area a lunch meal on a piste cafe will cost 10-15 euros however avoid Cafe Pierre on Verdons Green Run unless you have money to burn - pasta dish 35 euros bottle of water 11 euros. Cafe Verdons snack bar up the slope from here is miles cheaper and better value. Also the hotel does a packed lunch for 7 euros which is fine.

The ski total staff are very good and helpfull and seem to have a good spirit with the guests

We would go back again hopefully with better snow conditions - apparently this year has seen the least snow in 50 yrs but there is plenty on snow on north facing slopes and higher areas - Courchevel 1650 and lower area suffering but cable cars get you to the snow really quick.

I was a bit apprehensive about booking this Chalet Hotel for our family stay. However, the negative reviews that were on Trip Advisor, proved to be without foundation.
This Chalet Hotel is value for money. It is not a plush chalet hotel, but it's location is ideal for the coisette and ski-ing virtually from your door. The staff are all very polite and the food is really good, plentiful, and nicely presented. Yes, the bedrooms are a bit tired and the shower/bathing facilities could be improved, but this place is still great value. Ski hire, ski boot storage is very good, and the place is clean, although again the furnishings are not plush, but look at the price you pay in this upmarket resort! One observation I would make is that this place seems very popular with the Northern contingent, as more than half the 69 capacity were mainly from the North.
Would we go back? Yes, for a ski-ing holiday.

I group of 8 of went stayed here jan 2011, The chalet hotel is in need of a little up dating espically in the bedrooms (which are very basic). As a group, half slept on the front of the building which was a nightmare due to a local disco and we didn't get a good nights sleep all week (half way through the week we discovered a shutter we could drop over the window which helped), much to the amsument of those on the back who didn't hear a thing and slept well all night.

Now that the bad about the place sorted, lets start with the good,

The Location second to none with access to the slopes only 10m one way and 20m the other,

Staff are the most consciencious and pleasent people that we have come across in a ski resort, thats after 21 years of sking.

Food, was excellent the evening meals was second to none wouldn't be a miss on any resturants menu

All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would recommend this to any one who asked.

A warm welcome awaited us by a crackling fire with cocktails and canapes at bargain prices in this very expensive resort. The dinner was deliciously cooked by a young Melbourne chef, new to the hotel this year and all the staff were faultlessly professional and courteous. Our bedroom (at the front) and shower was a bit cramped but clean and with an idillic view from the private balcony, over Courchevel 1850, to the mountains. Bath towels were in short supply but over all a week at this conveniently placed hotel cost about the same as a gastronomic meal for a table at one of the neighbouring expensive restaurants.

We arrived for a family holiday in Courchevel - (booked through Iglu). told (along with many other families) that our 11 year old could not eat dinner with us - this ruined our week - OK it states clearly in the terms & conditions that this is the case - but surely when they see an 11 year old on the booking, we should be warned -no of course not, because the hotel would be half empty if that was the case (as the manageress told us.) - other points; my 11 year old was presented with a bar bill for 42 euros, which he denied running up - later the barmaid admitted he hadnt bought any drinks. Menu - choice of 2 main courses + veg option - if you dont fancy either meat option you cant have the vegetarian option, unless 'you have been vegetarian all week' - hilarious. Dont expect a cooked breakfast at 8.55 - last orders 9am - management decision, because the chef is the manageresses 'other half'!!! Otherwise - very good position, some of the young staff try hard , some very 'grumpy' due to the alround negaitive ambiance
Dont expect to sleep much if you have a room to the front - the chalet is directly opposite the a nightclub which gets lively arrount 3/4am!!
