What a wonderful week at the Gustavia. Went over xmas hopeful but because of mixed reviews not expecting too much. Well, you can expect a great stay as the newly refurbished rooms are chic (floors a little noisy as solid wood), mountain views a treat, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful (a special thank you Hannah in restaurant and Hugo on reception) and the food very nicely thought through and plated up hot, with an array of flavours and variety (including pudding which I didn't get at The Langley hotel earlier in year in Val Thorens). Live house band 'Unlimited' a big bonus (check them out) especially as they finished their set at 8pm for peace before hard core skiing days ahead.
Down sides:- terrible boot room (secure) needs linking to hotel and updating.
Small lift slightly temperamental (must be a lady!)
Walk to bus links needs to be considered carefully - not for those with
younger children I suggest.
Thank you Gustavia, we will be back.
