All the amenities are OK and good dialog with the owner. But we don't see the owner and it's strange!!

regards

As I say the flat was ok but the attitude of the owner not acceptable. Did not come to
help when we had difficulties using the tele and there was no one to welcome you.

“Pleasant apartment in busy commercial area of Annecy”

It is essential to have a good standard of spoken or written French when booking this apartment as the owner speaks no English at all. All communication is done by email in French, 3G on mobile phone or tablet We were not met at the apartment, but told to check our email over 3G to establish where the key was. Not ideal having driven 12000 miles! The apartment is light bright and airy, with a very modern well appointed kitchen diner. You need to be very intimate with your partner as the extremely pleasant shower, toilet area offers little privacy. The bedroom is fine, but the sofa bed in the lounge was very worn. In my opinion this property is only suitable for two people. There was considerable noise from the motor cycle repair shop beneath the flat, but this did not concern us as we live on a busy road in England. The apartment is ideally located to explore Annecy or take a train /bus to visit surrounding areas. Booking was fine and our refundable deposit was returned on time. .I agree with previous comments WIFI is 5 Euro a day.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property

“Convenient Location”

This property is in a convenient location if you want to travel into Annecy by train and spend your time walking around Annecy (although it does have a car parking space).

Please note that it has one bedroom, and the bedroom has a sliding wooden door which does not provide much privacy. I stayed here with my husband and 6 month old baby, hoping for some privacy in the bedroom so our 6 month old baby could nap, but we had to tip toe around the property (basically not do much at all!) to ensure she didn't get disturbed. Floor boards creek and all furniture is fairly noisy, and wooden sliding door to bedroom did not keep noise from travelling into bedroom.

Flat is on second floor with no lift. We spent most of our holiday worried about people looking in because there were no blinds. However, on our second last day we noticed that there were shutters outside, so you could close the shutters. Wish we'd known beforehand as we had to try and sleep (and baby nap) with light pouring into our room for most of our holiday.

The flat is advertised as sleeping accommodation for up to 4. However, as we were only two and a baby the landlord didn't think we needed a second lot of bedding, and refused to provide more bedding when we asked on our first day. On arrival we received one thin duvet, and two paper thin pillows (one each). There was no spare bedding in the flat, so we are lucky our baby didn't mess on the bedding! Nothing was provided for the pull out sofa bed, so all three of us had to squeeze into the double bed. My husband slept on the sleeper couch for two nights, having to wear multiple layers of clothes and use the towels to keep himself warm because there was no bedding. So my suggestion is be VERY clear with the landlord how much bedding you require - make sure you ask for two pillows per person because the pillows were paper thin.

It wasn't a bad flat, but our visit was made fairly uncomfortable and awkward with having a baby with us (landlord knew we had a baby). It wasn't really suitable as there was no where to put her to sit (no highchair and no cot, but we didn't actually request these either). There was a fair amount of noise from the street, but you'd expect that with the area it's in. There is a WIFI hotspot available, but it is chargeable at around EUR 5 a day.

Landlord does not speak any English so we could only communicate through Google Translate, so perhaps this apartment is more suited to those who have some French.
