We loved this place! We had the upstairs apartment, which is larger than the other two, downstairs. We had a balcony where we ate our meals, surrounded by oak trees , and the delightful pool is close by in the garden below. The open plan apartment is comfortable and has all you could reasonably want. We went to several hilltop villages , and an abbey, and sometimes came back for lunch and a dip in the pool before going out again to see somewhere else. A good guide book will tell you the numerous villages within easy reach, and there are places to walk, including the bright coloured strange landscapes where they used to mine ochre. We liked the gite so much that we ate there most of the time - for pleasure, but it also costs a very great deal less to buy your own simple (or complicated!) meals than eat in restaurants. I have to say that the owners, Marie and Fred, could not be kinder or more helpful. My husband needed to see a chiropractor and Marie booked an appointment for us - and when, later, he said he was so much better that he did not need the appointment after all, Marie could not have been nicer about cancelling it. Marie is kind from her heart - she genuinely likes people and wants to help, while not intruding. We felt sad to leave - it had felt, for a week at least, like our own home in the Luberon.
