“Great location with fantastic views”
Reviewed 8 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This apartment is in a great location. Although quiet in the evening, it is in close proximity to bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. Villefranche has good links to nearby towns and cities by bus and train and also offers boat trips along the coast. We took the boat trip to Monte Carlo, most enjoyable way to see the surrounding areas and for €20 each for a 2 hour trip, well worth it.
The accomodation is adequate for two people with everything you need, but it's the views from the balcony that are the best feature. From every room you can see across the rooftops and watch the boats coming and going. Outstanding!
A couple of things would have helped make this accomodation even better for us, more towels please. One bath towel each for one week is not enough. And similar to an earlier review, the shower is very small and even though we are of standard build, we kept bumping our arms of the shower walls when washing.
Otherwise perfect and would recommend it.

“Un appartement de charme”

Last May my friend and I had a delightful stay in this apartment in Villefranche. It is situated on a quiet street overlooking the rooftops of the old town and the harbour. Towards the north one looks out over the attractive church and to the hills beyond where the Alpes Maritimes come sweeping down to the sea. A walk of five or six minutes brings one to the harbour, beach, shops and restaurants. The view over the bay is fabulous and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony in the evenings looking at the boats quietly bobbing on the still water and the lovely Cap Ferrat slowly lighting up in the distance as the light waned.

The apartment was clean and bright, in fact the side looking out towards the sea was almost completely glass – large windows and sliding doors. Even the bathroom had a view. The apartment had everything one could possibly need. The sofa was a good comfortable double bed and, though the area was small, the eating space was so arranged that there was plenty room for dining both inside and outside on the balcony. The kitchen contained a large retro style fridge and all the necessary cooking implements were at hand.

Alex, the owner, was very helpful and provided lots of information on the town and on walks in the area. His agent on the spot, who was waiting for us when we arrived around 10.30 pm, was equally helpful and pleasant to deal with. There were no hidden costs, no ‘late arrival’ charge etc. I have been renting villas and apartments for many years and this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review. Well done to all concerned.

“simply beautiful!”
Reviewed 2 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

Villefranche is a jewel of the Riviera, beautiful, just perfect for a peaceful get away by the sea. Amazing restaurants by the water, good service, people are friendly and helpful, everything around is just pretty, elegant, well maintained, from the charming narrow streets of the old city to the beautifu port. And very clean; which is not quite the case in Nice or other big cities. Still, the place is busy and lively, live music, concerts, exhibitions in the old fort, lots of things to do.
The surroundings are also really beautiful - Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu etc - worth visiting, however, I would still recommend Villefranche as the perfect basis for exploring Monaco, Cannes, the whole Riviera (very comfortable and cheap access by bus and train, dont really need to rent a car).
The apt. was just perfect - is better in reality than in the photos - the view to the bay is amazing, perfect location, very close to the Marina, shops, restaurants, and you really have everything you need. I would definitely reommend it and I would definitely come back!
