It is a French city-centre hotel, so you are not going to get massive rooms or swimming pools, but it has a nice sun terrace to sit out and have breakfast on, and is 10 minutes walk from the old town, shopping centres, bus stops to local towns / attractions, and beach / train station (maybe15 mins to the last 2).
The hotel provides towels or mats for you to take to the beach (all pebbles) in town or for day trips to nearby towns.
Breakfast is pretty basic, but there is a supermarket literally 10 yards away which can supply you with food and drink for picnics etc. and as the hotel has no bar of its own and doesnt provide evening meals themselves, they are very relaxed about you eating and drinking your own stuff on the terrace in the evening.
There are a couple of dozen cafes / restaurants within 5 minutes or so, so you shouldn't be stuck for anywhere to eat out (apart from sunday nights when town centre bars appear to be the only ones open)
The hotel also provides free wi-fi which is useful for staying in touch with the world, and the staff are helpful, and speak enough english for everyday purposes.
