“well located for short stay”

Well located, clean, large room, well equipped, good front desk service. Negatives include: noisy as music festival was on in the park, but ended about midnight; breakfast was ok but not the hot food.

We purchased a luxury room with a sea view with balcony for 2 nights.
The room was "open plan", small and below the quality expected. The design of the room is not functional- the toilet is at one end of the room and you pull across a sliding door that does not close nearly fully enough to prevent the obvious noises. For a luxury room there is no bathroom or bath. The room had a nice view but the balcony was barely wide enough to stand on and was noisy- overlooking 6 lanes of traffic. The hotel is above a tacky casino and a McDonalds.

Room Tip: Do not get a luxury room- waste of money.

Had a very nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again and am happy to recommend the Mercure.

The hotel is right on the beach. Only a few minutes walk from the old town and parking is available very nearby. The room we stayed in had a Nespresso machine which we really enjoyed.

We have just spent a fantastic weekend in Nice at this hotel. It's reasonably priced and does the job. Not 4*, more like 3 but it's clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially with us continually asking for more tea & milk for our room, they were more than happy to help! (Thank you) We had a room on the same side as the entrance to the hotel with a partial sea view, a little noisy come 3am Sunday morning with people coming back to the hotel and outside in the street (take earplugs) but no complaints about the hotel. Take a 5 minute walk into the old town area & flower market, full of great places to eat, beautiful architecure especially down the maze of narrow side streets.

The hotel is easy to get to, just take the No 98 bus from the airport, exit the No.2 terminal and walk round the corner to the left. It's €4 each, but that's for a travel card you can use to get anywhere on any bus for the whole day. Journey takes around 30 mins and drops off right outside the hotel & Casino next door (you can't miss it)

The beaches opposite the hotel are a mix of free public beaches and resort owned "pay to get in" beaches. We grabbed a parasol from the shop oustide the hotel for €7 and sat on the public pebble beach. Problem solved, no need to pay €26 if you don't want to.

We took a bus to Monaco for the day, again easy to get to & takes 45 mins along a beautiful coast road and costs just €1 each on the bus, one way. The bus is the No.100 and it leaves every 10 - 15 mins from a stop in between Bvd Jean Jaures and Ave.Felix Faure, right opposite a tram stop & only a 10 min walk from the hotel.
When you come back from Monaco, it's still only €1 each and the bus picks up at the bottom of the hill where Rue Grimaldi & Bvd Albert meet at a roundabout, close to the Harbour. The No. 100 bus is not marked on any of the bus stop's in Monaco, but flag it down at this stop and you will be fine.

Had a sea view room with balcony and this is worth paying extra for. Double glazed windows keeps the noice away and the aircon is well functioning. The staff in the reception is very pleasant, knowledgable and serviceminded. My new favourite hotel in Nice.
