called in to book a room for one night, not cheap 111 euro and 10 euro for breakfast, but when we saw the room, more like a 70s holiday camp, we didnt even stay. It looked in need of a total refurb, the reception dint even seem phased we didnt stay (must happen quite often) booked into riva next door so much better

We had visited this hotel last time 10 years ago. Can you imagine there was still no renovation made! Hotel needs a quick renovation. Especially bathroom wasn´t ok. Next time visiting Menton we choose another hotel. Parking next to hotel. Be prepared to pay of it. Breakfast average.

Its an old hotel which occupies two floors of an apartment building located on the quai
of Menton, abt 700 mt from the city center. Next to it, there is an openair public parking which is free during the low season and you may always find la lot to park. The medium sized, comfortable, clean room has big balcony doors so you can enjoy the sea view from your bed. Pebble beach is infront of the hotel, across the street. Few restaurants arround. The double without breakfast : 95 eu were esxpensive for a low season.

My mum and I have just got back from a 4 night stay - funnily enough, they gave us the same room as we had last year! A twin bedded room, with a balcony and bath. The hotel lobby is clean and inviting and there is always someone pleasant on reception but don't expect too much, they basically just give you your key and tell you where to go to find your room - there are no frills. The room is basic but it has everything you need, a tv, a small fridge with water, soft fizzy drinks and a couple of beers - there is a nice balcony too to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning or a naughty glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom is adequate as well - always plenty of hot water- decor is a bit tired but apart from that it is perfectly fine. You can open the french windows in the morning and look at the sea whilst sitting in the comfort of your bed! Breakfast was good too, although a bit pricey at 10 euros each - we preferred to go to a cafe and pay 9 euros for the two of us, but that was just a croissant, orange juice and a cappuccino. If you want peace and quiet don't stay here though as it is very noisy at night with the noise from the road....

Stayed there for 4 days in July.
Had a very bad experience with the staff. When going to bed the first night, we discovered that our mattress was wet with big stains for some reason. Pretty disgusting!

When we complained, a nice Danish man in the reception gave us a new room, which was very well handled. However, the next day a lady at the reception accused of doing it ourselves and she threatened to charge us more if we wanted to stay in the new room. Insane service. Will never stay there again. Hotel is also in dire need of a complete make over. Feels very old and worne-out.
