Le Cavendish is a welcoming, comfortable, relaxed hotel - a great find in Cannes, otherwise known for its glitz and superficiality. A home away from home, where one is welcomed as a friend and treated with care. From the homemade breakfast - crackling croissants and scrumptious raisin swirls to the always fresh and replenished fruits and fruit salad, organic granola, and a broad selection of exclusive Mariage Frères teas, to the evening cocktail reception, with white, rosé, red wines, a variety of liquors, and genuinely kind servers bringing you snacks, ranging from cheese and sausage to puff pastry bites, pistachios, chips and salsa..somehing different every night - you know you've found a special spot. Rooms have solid windows to block out city noise which is essential. Cleanliness and size of rooms appreciated. Negative points: closet impractical, as space is shared by safe and mini bar - one always was in the way of the other. The hotel is in partnership with a private beach - Plage Goéland - which is not at the same quality level as the hotel by far - careless service, bad food - a Parma ham tasted granular and bitter; an inedible seafood salad that was sent back to the kitchen but was charged in full. This needs to be reevaluated, because it affects the overall image of the hotel, should the guest not take it upon themself to find a better beach spot - we did. Special thanks for the care of Emma, the energy of Tiego, the professionalism of Ingrid.. you and your team are top class.

My husband and I spent three nights here. The linens were soft, the bed comfortable, the a/c was great and the ambience was exceptional. In the common room, the hotel serves a fantastic breakfast each morning and little snacks/an open bar each evening. The breakfast included fruit, yogurt, granola, fresh bread, hard boiled eggs, cheese, meat, jams, and tarts, plus coffee or tea. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing over a glass or two of rosé and meeting some of the other guests before heading out to dinner. The open bar was the kind of little touch that made our stay feel truly luxurious. Even though we were in the city of Cannes, we both felt that the trip was a true escape from city life.

I am also compelled to note that the service of the staff was excellent. From helping my frazzled husband park his car upon arrival to recommending restaurants and activities, this staff knows how to make you feel welcome in their hotel. If French is not your speciality, not to worry- almost every member of the staff speaks excellent English. And If you like to practice your high school French, they tolerate it as well:)

Booked after reviews from tripadvisor and we were glad we did. The check-in was so smooth and the staff was very helpful. We were guided very well as to what we could do there and the map was explained very well. We were also given couple entry passes for a fashion show that night. The elevator is quite historical which cannot even fit big suitcases. But the whole feel of that is good. The room was comfortable and the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. This building is a bit old but thats the whole charm of it.

Location is decent as you can walk easily to the beachfront and the hub of shopping and food joints.

Paid parking is available closeby and the street parking is free on holidays.

Breakfast was okay as its in most hotels of this category.

The hotel is well located, a few minutes from the main "strip" and beach. The service is great and the staff give excellent suggestions for food and things to do. The breakfast is tasty and I would reccomend for that alone.

Room Tip: A room with a balcony is always good and allows some air flow into the room.

From the moment you enter Le Cavendish you feel special. You are treated to a welcome drink by genuinely friendly staff, a period french lift, a luxurious bedroom and automatic shutters, complementary evening snacks and drinks, and finally one of the best breakfasts I have had in France with a mix of classics (fresh fruit, bread and pastries) and specialties (chocolate gateau, crepes, homemade jam). For a truly romantic stay in Cannes, I highly recommend this hotel.
