Another very enjoyable evening, however the salad starter was lacking in love and preparation, I could've done better by buying a ready salad from a supermarket, but the main course and desert recovered my faith in the L'Antidote...

Gorgeous, thoughtfully and beautifully presented & prepared food
It is always such a delight to eat at this lovely French restaurant

Service is very nice, efficient and helpful

The lobster salad entree was really fresh and tasty
Great foie gras
Duck and steak dishes were cooked, presented and seasoned beautifully
Home made deserts were all excellent

This is what my family and I call 'A Proper Restaurant'
All freshly prepared and gorgeous home-made French food
Lovely service
Food is great value, considering the above
(In Cannes it is surprisingly difficult to find this kind of quality at this kind of price)
None of your 'tourist rubbish' here

There is a very nice outdoor patio terrace for dining in the more clement months.
Just one very, very slight negative. The dining room could be a little more ambient
Wish the owners would dim the lights more and add a few more candles around the room

Can't wait to return!!

The location is a bit tricky with all the roads - but once inside you start to wonder if you have come to the right place. White orchids all around, black chairs and the place has this impersonal air that so many restaurants have all over the world. This could be anywhere - but it is Provence and Cannes. We had not reserved a table but was immediately show to a good spot. There are two menus 28 and 38 Eur. both with entree, sorbet, main course and dessert. Before the dinner we had a litte extra amuse bouche - a glass with goats cheese, beef stock and lemon/thyme foam. The cuisine is not quite molecular - but foam is clearly added when possible. In general the plates are lavisly decorated - very posh - but not to my taste - of course it is great to see the food presented in a nice way - but this is just too much. The entrees were fine (salmon w/fresh cheese & pumpkin soup with chanterelles) and we had a nice glass of white wine. Then followed a glas of lemon/thyme sorbet and quinoa seeds - what were the seeds doing? - and why a sorbet after only one course? - it was not bad but there was no point in serving this. Then after that strange experience on to the main courses - scallops with risotto and filet de porc - both were fine and we enjoyed a half bottle of rose. Desserts were creme brulee (very good) and apple-something. The total price was 100 Eur. Some of the food was really good but still the experience was mixed - the kitchen pretends to be something elegant and of a more sophisticated standard but the food doesn't live up to that. Service was ok - especially one of the ladies was very competent. My rating is actually 3½ - because it is better than average - but do loosen up - and remove those hideous black plates and all the decorations.

I believe the restaurant has chaged ownership since our last visit two years ago, although the decor seemed to be the same, and that's not a bad thing, very French.
It's worth taking the time to visit, it's not in the best location, tucked in a slip road, near one of the main roads into Cannes, but once you're inside you will not be disapointed.
Menu had a attractive choice of dishes, and an extensive wine list.
There's also a nice courtyard area infront of the building, with a wall seperating you from the road outside. The staff were efficient but not too attentive, which I like, but were engaging...
Well worth a visit while on holiday or business...

Nice decor, warm welcome; was our first impression as we entered this restaurant. For 38 Euro we were served a fixed menu consisting of fairly expensive looking dishes, including foiegras, pigeon, and crem brûlée, each of which was prepared with care and knowledge. Including a bottle of fairly good red wine we ended up paying 108Euros for two, which I considered to be a very good value.
