“3 night mini break for 4”
Reviewed 3 March 2018 for a stay in February 2018

No trades description issues here. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. It is very well appointed and served 4 adults well. 2 very nice sized bedrooms with en-suite facilities in both. Very quiet and close to Sourdeval centre for any provisions.
We did make a slight error in the days we chose as Sunday and Monday all restaurants are closed and shops close midday at this time of year. Nice large Carrefour, for all your cheeses, between Sourdeval and Vire maybe 15 minutes away.
Needed the log burner as there was snow!
Not a lively place but we wanted quiet and rural and we got it.
Suzanne the owner will do all she can for you and excellent communication. Security deposit was back within 5 days.
If you want a quiet country break then book this place, you won’t be disappointed.

“Peaceful location and well appointed”
Reviewed 29 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This was our second stay. It was an easy booking process; equipped with all needs for our two week stay; comfortable in every way. It is set up as a home and you need to bring toiletries and food that you need. You will need a car to get around as it is in a quiet location near to farms. That means not having to struggle against traffic in urban locations to get started on day trips away. Great position to visit many places on day trips toward the Normandy WW2 Landing Beaches north to north-east, Brittainy to the west, medieval towns to the south and south-west - great to come back after a long day trip and rest in the comfort of the "Barn". The local towns Mortain and Sourdeval are significant also in the local WW2 history liberation advance. Visit Hill 314 above Mortain to see one of the sites and to see the view over the countryside.
An issue with the boiler was very quickly resolved by the owner who responded to my email.

Liked best: Quiet location and very comfortable stay.
Liked least: There is a washing machine - no drier so need to be organised. We took up an option to pay extra for housekeeping in the middle of the stay so sheets were laundered by them.

I have stayed at this barn conversion three times now. I love it. So peaceful and allows me to recharge in a calm and serene environment. It has easy access to local sites - Mont St Michel and the Bayeux tapestry are close by. Not far from the ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo or Rouen. and from the airport at Dinard.
Inside it is very smartly decorated in French shabby chic with all you need for a luxurious stay. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are well appointed.
The outdoor patio areas are perfect for al-fresco dining morning, noon and night.
I loved all my stays there.
I would recommend this venue to anyone.
