We found this restaurant based on our Provence tour guide's recommendation. The place was bustling, with a warm and happy vibe. We had a lovely dinner which was further enhanced by the wait staff - lots of laughs!!

Two meals; chicken and beef steak. The steak was large succulent and excellent. So good I went back a few days later and had the same meal again. The cost for two meals and two desserts 45 euros. The desserts were excellent. We were in Avignon for 7 days and never found a better place to eat.

We were recommended this restaurant as a good French restaurant with 2 and 3 course semi set menus. We were surprised by the €25 3 course offering. The food was great as was the staff, ambience and feel. Located just off the main square this is a far more authentic and affordable option.

We were tempted to this restaurant by Beatrice who enticed us. I had goats cheese as a starter and then cod and fennel. Presentation was good and the food was tasty. My husband had the sea bass and then the chicken which he said was overcooked and dry. We paid 21 euros each. Very busy evening. Overall enjoyed the meal.

The conceit of this place is that there are two equally priced menus, d'ici ("from here" - French food) and d'ailleurs ("from elsewhere" - world food).

The problem is they seem to have come up with this idea without consulting the chef.
This concept *could* work if you were a classically trained French chef who's spent 6 months on a world tour picking up new ideas,

But the chef here seems comfortable with neither classic French, (the supreme de vollaile was dry and the purée de pommes was bog-standard mashed potato), nor with the foreign stuff- I swear the tagine
was a Jamie Oliver recipe.

None of it is bad and the owners seem like nice people but it doesn't really work. One side of the menu is averagely executed French standards while the other half is like "my first attempt" at some take-away classics.
