There are plenty of restaurants around the Place de Forum, many is which offer the usual fare. Querida is a bit different adding a Spanish twist and whilst this is not a Spanish tapas bar it does offer some lovely food influenced by Spanish cuisine. We had a very tasty and filling chicken dish served with baked new potatoes and a salad. They offer a slightly unusual Sangria which is very pleasant if not authentic. aLtogether a good place to eat.

We went here twice during our five day stay in Arles, and both times had excellent meals and friendly service.
The first time we had mixed tapas to share as a starter, which had really tasty mini chorizos on it and very fresh gazpacho among other yummy things. The tartare de boeuf was delicious. Their viande du moment obviously depends on the day, so I had taureau steak the first time, and iberico pork the second, and both were excellently cooked.
To sum it up, they serve really great food at very decent prices, so we'd definitely recommend this place!

Right in the middle of the old town of Arles is this charming little restaurant with cosy appeal. Great menu with Spanish influence and large plates of freshly produced food ensures a good dining experience. The staff are very attentive. Book to avoid dissapointment as there are not so many tables.

We found this restaurant, tucked away in the small old streets in Arles. Initially, we weren't too keen on going in, as the entrance is located up quite a few steps. This is important, as one of our party uses a wheelchair.
Before we had properly made our mind up, though, the owner, a very friendly local young gentleman opened a side door, after moving away a few tables to let us in, which meant we only needed to go up one small step to go in. He must have caught site of our party outside the restaurant through the window. Anyway, in we went on this hot day, and the owner created a nice draft by leaving the door open. The interior of the “Querida” is decorated with strips of discarded passport photographs and is modern and brightly coloured in a pop-culture sort of way.
The menu is small, and each of us opted for the dish of the day plus dessert. On this particular day, there were home made tagliatelle, with olive oil, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes and basil. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the dish was light and fresh. Just what was needed on a hot day such as this! Dessert was a lemon meringue cake. This was home-made and absolutely delicious.
To finish off, we had espressos. Small, dark and bitter, as they should be!
One caveat, for the disabled traveller, however: as usual in this part of the world, the lavatories are far from accessible. Nevertheless we used the lavatory, which is up a flight of 15 steps and features a statue of Buddha looking straight at you!
The “Querida”, then, is a restaurant we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wanting a gorgeous and very affordable meal with friendly service!
