Spent 3 nights at this hotel in September 2011. As others have noted, the hotel is a little tired decor-wise, but it was a clean, comfortable place to sleep. Other good points- air conditioning, which was needed on those hot Provence days, and a very nice staff. Didn't order the breakfast- it looked pretty tired too, but lots of others seemed to be enjoying it. We just walked up to the old part of Aix and hit a boulangerie for a nice fresh baguette. It is about a 10 minute walk to the old part of town, but on the hotel street is a little mini-mart which was very convenient.
Parking was free, and our room had a decent sized balcony where we sat (once the blazing hot sun had passed) and enjoyed some local rose wine.
All in all- not a honeymoon destination, but as a way to save a few bucks before breaking the bank in Paris, it was a fine choice. Met my Big Three hotel requirements: 1) clean 2) no bugs or critters 3) quiet. The rest is gravy, that you get when you feel like paying for it. This place was maybe 70 Euros a night.

We stayed 2 nights at Mozart Hotel, and I would agree with one reviewer's comment that it was more like a motel. We arrived in Aix by TGV, and after getting the shuttle to the main train station, it did feel like rather a long walk through town to get there. I would say it is more suited to those driving into Aix, as it appeared to have ample parking, and is a good 10 minute walk out of the old town. The room itself was nice enough, and the bathroom a good size and clean. I had thought being somewhat in the countryside would mean a restful night's sleep. The first night was fine, but unfortunately, the second night the people in a nearby house were playing loud music and talking in the garden at midnight. We had to close our shutters to try and drown out some of the noise. We did not eat breakfast as it cost an additional 8 euros. Overall, not bad, but not the top of our list of hotels from this trip. If you are training it, I would recommend staying in Avignon, where you seem to get better value for money, and taking a day trip to Aix.

Very good hotel and very clean! Also, the receptionists are very friendly and the hotel is situated about 10 minutes by walk from the centre of Aix. The breakfast was slightly disappointing though because I'm an English breakfast lover! All that was served was a croissant, slices of bread, two choices of ham, one type of cheese, yogurts and a choice of fruits!! Nonetheless, I was very satisfied and would surely recommend it!

Good location, walking distance to the heart of Aix, parking for the car while driving around Provence. Room is small and adequate, not particularly pretty. Good air conditioning. Hotel not pretty in a modernish building. Did not eat breakfast there.

Service was good, allowed us to leave car in the paid parking on our checkout day while we explored Aix.

We stayed in the Hotel Mozart for one night with our teenage son. The hotel is on the outskirt of the old city and a short walk to restaurants and shops. The front desk staff command of English rivaled our command of French . They were however, polite and eager to help with any request. The hotel is very charming and more than expected from previous reviews. Our triple room was small but adequate and included a comfrotable double bed and single bed. The terrace was a plus - unfortunately smokers on either side prevented us from sitting outside for more than a few minutes. The room and hotel was very clean and well maintained.
We had breakfast at the hotel which for the price was more than adequate with an assortment of breads, cereals, jams, fruit , yogurt and luncheon meats.Parking is free but limited. We had to park overnight in the underground parking for 8 Euros since there was no room in the free parking area.
All in all , a nice adequate hotel for the area.
We drove to Cassis - only an hour away. All in all a nice hotel for the price and location.

Room Tip: breakfast is worth the money.
