“A decent, well-located hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

I had been expecting somewhat more from a hotel with such good reviews and the "boutique" label, especially as the prices are fairly high. That said, everything was perfectly good. The room was comfortable if not very large or particularly inspiring. The free non-alcoloholic minibar was a nice touch. The hotel is extremely conveniently located if you arrive by train to the central station, which is one minute's walk away. Equally, the central Cours Mirabeau is only about a five minute walk from the hotel. Unfortunately I cannot compare to other Aix hotels, but understanding that the price range is pretty high, I imagine that the Cezanne is a pretty good choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not by the staircase, as the doors are not well-sealed and do let in noise of other g...

We are staying here for one night and so far are having a great time. The service has been very attentive and the receptionist recommended a great restaurant for us. He rooms have wifi. We are staying in interconnecting rooms with our two kids which are nicely fitted out and clean. So far can't fault! Many thanks :)

We stayed three nights at the Cezanne and were extremely pleased by the entire experience. It's only steps away from the train station and two blocks from the While our room was a bit smallish, it was modern and clean with a large comfortable bed and soft, fluffy pillows and duvet.

There's a built in desk and a bench seat and plenty of storage space in a built-in shelves, which has a safe, and closet area. The closet also has a mini-bar and the contents (non-alcoholic) are free, as is the coffee from the espresso machine in the hallway. Alcoholic drinks are available in the lobby from a self-serve bar at a cost.

Wi-fi in the room is free; there are plenty of electrical outlets; and another nice, unexpected, touch is a docking station for an Ipod.

The bathroom was bright and modern and the shower featured two wide shower heads -- one fixed and one wand-type.

Parking is available in an underground garage in an alley a short walk away from the hotel. It's a bit tricky finding the turn and be sure to reserve a spot in advance. Our room rate did not include breakfast, which costs EUR 20. The selection included scrambled eggs, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, a selection of breads, cereals and a muesli-yogurt combination that was very tasty. Guests served themselves, including the very nice coffee from the espresso machine.

The Cezanne's staff is well recruited and trained. They are exceptionally friendly and helpful and made our stay there very comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and me stayed one night at the hotel before our flght back. It' s a botique hotel - a very nice one and very uniqhe. The decoration and the lights in the room is something different. Our room was a mini suite - very spacoius. The room cleanliness was perfect.
Breakfast room was also decorated something different and you can see that there was a lot of thought about every item in the dinning room. The breakfast its self was a buffet with cold and hot things and there is a menu breakfast that you can order a vareity of eggs etc.
Te service at the receptoin was very freindly ( especially Estel) and you fell really at home.
Threr is also free hot drinks at the hotel (a professional coffe machine).
In summery- we definitely recommend at this gorgeous hotel !!

Pros: Location is good, free coffee and soft drinks, free parking
Cons: rooms are small (Lux one), decoration is modern but almost everything you touch in the bathroom can fall apart, WiFi internet connection is REALLY BAD, breakfast is 20 euro's is way too much
