Part of the Mercure Hotel, the restaurant is located in the central nave of a 17th century chapel. Along with the ancient two floor of stone arches are four enormous modern concrete pillars to support the new floor above.. awesome scenery !
Fine dining at good fare and excellent wine list. The cellars may be peeked at through a glass see-through on the floor. Attentive personel.

We booked the restaurant for a Sunday night and it was quiet so staff were quite attentive. We chose a set menu at €27 which was excellent value for 3 courses. We chose the pumpkin soup as the entree and it was absolutely delicious as it came with chunky bacon that was very sweet.

Our next course was a beef stew. It was stewed beef in a heavy wine sauce which I found the taste a little overwhelming whereas my husband thought it was wonderful, the vegetables that accompanied the meat were excellent.

My husband chose the Tarte Tartin for dessert, which was accompanied by a mango sauce and it was ok, while I had the gateau which came with coffee flavoured ice cream and cream. It was delicious.

There are plenty of French wines on offer and we chose a Haute Medoc from Bordeaux which was excellent.

The restaurant is located in the Mecure Hotel which is just on the fringe of the main shopping area. I would certainly recommend this restaurant as it offers a number of set menus commencing at €27 Euros and upward depending on your budget.

The tables are well separated and the restaurant has an open feel about and and is adequately staffed.

We had my birthday lunch on recommendation from a friend. Lovely restaurant in what use to be a church. Food was excellent we had set lunchtime menu. Butternut squash soup with cream and chives, filler mignon with mashed potatoes and mushrooms and a caramel cheesecake. Food was superb waiters were attentive and service was quick. Full menu is quite expensive but the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Set in the nave of a former chapel, this place is a successful mixture of gothic and contemporary styles. Beside its amazing decor, this restaurant has got everything : location in the very centre of Poitiers, cuisine both classical and innovative, varied wine list, professional yet cheerful staff. Interesting tip : for several set menus, you get food and wine pairing suggestions, so, for a few more euros, you can enjoy 2 glasses of adequate wines !
