Saturday night 20h with a group of 12 for someone's birthday. Moderately busy; about 2/3 full I suppose with a good atmosphere.. It's a great location looking over part of the city, and a great place to watch the sun go down, in summer anyway. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful; fairly efficient as well when you can get hold of them. Unfortunately waiting was a bit of a theme for the evening. I had to ask for drinks after having stood around for some time after arriving, and so it went on. They need to be a bit more proactive and organised.
The menu is varied and modern European with smoothing for everyone. The opinions of the various dishes was mixed, some good, some distinctly average and disappointing. Onion pie was good, gravelax poor and just like smoked salmon. The croquetas tapas were heavy on croquette and light on filling, too much for a starter; my fault maybe. The burgers were very good and generous with real chips. The fondant d'agneau was lacking in taste, it needed more Moroccan style spices to liven it up. The few who had desserts judged them to be good and tasty. So a mixed reception, average overall. The bill came to €50 per person with pre-drinks and wine. Paying the bill took the edge of the evening, as you have to queue at the till to pay. In our case this meant a wait of about 20 minutes, while we were ready to go. Surely there has to be a better way, as they have the hand held card payment terminals.
I would go again, but maybe for a drinks and tapas style evening outside.
