“95 out of a 100”
Reviewed 28 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Our hosts, Patrick and Fabien, were great, and we loved their property. We stayed there for 3 weeks, and when our time ended, we were very sad to leave, due in equal parts to how much we love Rouen, and how comfortable we were at Au Petit Robec.

I take off 5 points simply because we spent no time in the outdoor courtyard/garden area. Neither one of us smoke, and the weather was nice enough for us to spend lots of time outdoors around the city.

Otherwise, really great. Lots of outlets in the bedroom for us to plug in our electronics, tons of closet space for all our belongings. Kitchen had pretty much everything needed to produce all our meals (we happily supplemented the spice selection, etc.), including a large tart pan that inspired to bake, both savory and sweet. BTW, Rouen's Monoprix on Rue Gros-Horloge has food and toiletries, everything you need.

TV/DVD machine were great for evening entertainment - English language stations were minimal, mostly news stations, so we bought inexpensive dvds at the FNAC near the Palais de Justice.

Very quiet, and when we closed the shutters, completely dark. The quarter hour chiming from nearby St. Ouen added some nice atmosphere.

Patrick shuttled us from and to the train station. He speaks very little English, but we were able to follow pretty much all his explanations. We even managed to get the heaters working on a couple nights when it was chilly.
