A friend and I planned a 5 day visit to Normandy. We decided Bayeux would be a central location for us and we were happy with our choice. Hotel d' Argouges - from the first of many email exchanges with Caroline at the hotel to the day we arrived and departed, we were treated with first class attention. In addition, Caroline, who is top-notch, arranged a rental car for us.

We decided to request a ground floor room (Room #11). It was perfect for parking our car right outside out door (no parking fee) and enjoying the September breezes through the open windows.

Although the hotel has no AC, we didn't need it for our stay. The nights were cool and a fan can be provided should one need it.

The morning breakfast is really tasty and all that one might want to start the day.

Also, the garden is a tranquil place to sit and enjoy a coffee, wine, champagne, conversation or silence.

In addition, any place one would want to visit in the town of Bayeux can be visited on foot from this hotel location.

Also, Caroline arranged our D-Day beaches tour. The tour group was superb!

You won't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: The hotel doesn't have an elevator. You may want to consider a ground floor or, of course, the hotel staff will assist with luggage.

Our room was in the annexe on the top floor so we had to drag luggage up a narrow staircase. Room pleasant with a good outlook but small.
Had Breakfast one morning in the elaborate dining area.
Good location and within walking distance of all major sites.

We booked 4 rooms for our 6 person travel group - all very nice and excellent location. The owner, Frederick, and his colleagues took very good care of us. It is a beautiful, updated manor house. Delicious breakfast buffet and welcoming staff - Thank you, especially, to Caroline.

Room Tip: They have accessible rooms on 1st floor; private parking area at the back of the facility.

We were greeted warmly and led to our room and instructed on parking which is provided on the property. We found the staff very helpful in putting together a picnic lunch for us to take when we toured the Normandy beaches. They even loaned us cooler to use for the day. We thought the breakfast was good, liked the chocolate croissants th best we had over our travels to France. Would recommend this property for its charm and their hospitality.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. It offers a lovely room and breakfast, great location, and friendly/helpful staff. Louise, in particular, was very welcoming and responsive to all of our requests!
